‘Chiefs academy product plays like he’s 35’

Kaizer Chiefs’ Naturena Academy keeps gaining higher prestige.

KHULUMANI NDAMANE IS SPECIAL

Remember the Amakhosi youngster who moved from the Kaizer Chiefs reserve team to join TS Galaxy before the start of the season? Ndamane, a 20-year-old central defender, has made 16 appearances this term and has helped TS Galaxy go 12 matches unbeaten. His coach believes he has unbelievable maturity and quality.

“What I can say about him, he is almost 20 years [of age]. Imagine he plays all games like he’s 35 with the same confidence, no mistakes,” Beganovic told FARPost. “In the air, on the ground, he’s an amazing player. I’m sure after a while, every team in the PSL will want to buy him because he has amazing skills. He’s also fast. He knows how to play long passes. He’s calm when we try to build up,” added Beganovic on the former Kaizer Chiefs DStv Diski Challenge (DDC) captain.

MAKABI LILEPO WINS MAN OF THE MATCH IN KAIZER CHIEFS WIN OVER STELLENBOSCH FC

Kaizer Chiefs’ new winger Makabi Lilepo might have a future as a central forward, says Junior Khanye.

The 27-year winger impressed on debut against Orlando Pirates and midweek’s 2-2 draw with AmaZulu. The Kaizer Chiefs attacker finally crowned his impressive start at Amakhosi with a goal against Stellenbosch FC. “It is true that I am settling well,” Lilepo told SuperSport TV after picking up the Man-of-the-Match Award.

“But before coming here I took a few weeks to watch the games of Chiefs, to get to know the players as quickly as a I could. When I came here I already knew roughly what kind of players we had,” he concluded.

According to Junior Khanye, Lilepo strikes him as a number nine rather than a winger at seven or 11. “Well done to Lilepo but he looks like a striker judging from how he scored, using the right technique for the header especially directing it where the goalkeeper came from,” said Khanye via IDiski Times.

“So, well done. The right hand side was the one working for Kaizer Chiefs in the first half and when the ball was in the other direction, Lilepo got in the box which is good for him.

“Well done to him for helping Kaizer Chiefs win. As a new signing you need to score as a winger who has speed. He’s a threat because every time he had the ball it looked like something was going to happen.

“Well done to him and well done to the team for winning I think pressure ease up a bit. They just need to be consistent. The guy with his speed singlehandedly won the game for Chiefs today.”
