Lilepo update

“No, it’s not a serious injury,” a Siya source confirmed.

“It was precautionary measure not to aggravate his knock. It was just a knock on the thigh which was uncomfortable at the moment but the team was flying back on Saturday and he was already feeling much better,

“He joined the rest of the team in the recover training. He is expected to be ready for the next game,” they added.

“There is almost a week to improve his fitness and be ready for the game against Chippa United.”

Lilepo, who scored an 87th minute winner in Kaizer Chiefs victory over Stellenbosch last outing, has impressed from the get-go with a goal and assist in his first three games at the club.

Matlou Update

Regarding Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Matlou, “he was injured in the Soweto Derby and that’s why he missed the AmaZulu and Stellenbosch games, but things are looking positive for him with the medical and conditioning teams but whether he plays or not will depend on team selection,

“But he is doing well and looks much better and by Saturday he will be ready as well.”
