Tube station closed after man stabbed in daytime attack

A man has been taken to hospital after a stabbing at Goldhawk Road Underground station.

The knife attack happened at 1pm this afternoon and the man’s condition is unknown.

Another man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder.

A Met Police spokesperson said: ‘Police were called at approximately 13:00hrs on Wednesday, 12 February to reports of a stabbing in Goldhawk Road, W12.

‘Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and found a man suffering stab injuries. He was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital – condition awaits.

‘A man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder.

‘A crime scene remains in place.

‘Enquiries into the circumstances continue.’

Goldhawk Road is closed both ways from A219 Shepherd’s Bush Green (Shepherd’s Bush Empire) to Richford Street.
