Monnapule Saleng‘s agent Karabo Tshabuse has refused to comment on the future of the Orlando Pirates winger.
Saleng has been frozen out for months now at Pirates but reasons around that remain unknown to the public.
The left-footed attacker was heavily linked with a possible January transfer exit at the Buccaneers.
However, the Soweto giants succeeded in retaining him, at least, until the end of the season despite all the rumours.
Now that the dust has settled, there is still no sign of Saleng in and around Jose Riveiro’s squad on matchdays.
And that alone continues to fuel speculation around the 26-year-old’s future at Pirates.
Saleng last kicked a ball in a competitive match for Pirates on 7 December 2024 in a CAF Champions clash against Al Ahly.
Overall, the attacker has featured in 13 matches for the Sea Robbers this season, and has five goals to his name.
Saleng has contributed immensely since towards Pirates’ success since his arrival two-and-a-half seasons ago.
He won three MTN8 trophies and two Nedbank Cup titles with the Buccaneers during that period.
Furthermore, the silky attacker has scored 25 goals and registered 17 assists in 70 appearances for Pirates.
Nonetheless, it appears younger players such as Mohau Nkota and Relebohile Mofokeng have overtaken him.
And whether or not Riveiro will use him before the end of the current campaign.
