Enzo Maresca has confirmed Chelsea have a new No.1 goalkeeper in the Premier League with Filip Jorgensen set to replace Robert Sanchez.
The Spain international had received the backing of his manager on multiple occasions over the last couple of months, despite a string of high-profile errors.
Indeed, Sanchez had been encouraged to continue taking risks with the ball at his feet by Maresca who had suggested he would drop the former Brighton goalkeeper if he were to adopt a more conservative approach.
Despite the unwavering support he has received, Sanchez has been unable to eliminate the basic errors from his game and the goal he gifted Erling Haaland in a recent 3-1 defeat at Manchester City appears to have forced a change of plan from Maresca.
