‘He was incredible’: Nabi singles out Kaizer Chiefs star for praise

Kaizer Chiefs are beginning to fire on all cylinders under coach Nasreddine Nabi.

The Glamour Boys picked up their second consecutive victory, after cruising past Chippa United in the Nedbank Cup Round of 16.

Nabi’s side earned a 3-0 victory on the night, thanks to goals by Gaston Sirino, Inacio Miguel and Pule Mmodi.

Nabi was left in awe with one particular Kaizer Chiefs player in his side’s crucial Nedbank Cup triumph. Take a look at what he had to say below.

Kaizer Chiefs coach heaps praise on Pule Mmodi

“Mmodi what he does on the field is incredible, it’s incredible,” – Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi said following his side’s victory as quoted by IDiski Times.

“Sometimes maybe you look at one or two opportunities that he has missed, but he’s a winger his first attribute is to score goals, maybe he should have scored some easy opportunities that he got. But for me, he was the best player on the field.

“He’s a player that works consistently. He’s a player that poses a threat on his direct opponent all the time. Maybe you will see that all the set pieces or free kicks that he got for us. Even when we are defending, he’s a player that tracks back all the time. He works for the team.”

The sauce we are cooking is coming along – Nabi

While admitting the club have under-achieved for years, Nasreddine Nabi believes the glory days will soon return to Naturena.

“Step by step, step by step, we will come back. We go step by step, with no pressure, we work seriously and Kaizer Chiefs I promise you in the future we will come back. Now we don’t come back, but we will come back, step by step.” Nabi added following the victory.

“They are very good players and we feel that those are the present and future of the club and we just need to add some ingredients but we feel that the sauce that we are cooking is coming along.

“Thank you very much for the support, we work seriously. If we have some problem, I’ll be honest with you, I will give some work. Thank you and come more to support Kaizer Chiefs. Honestly, I love you too much.”
