Kaizer Chiefs fans are wary of the major threat they face in their next encounter when they travel to Loftus Versfeld to face rivals Mamelodi Sundowns.
Sundowns are looking in imperious form, having opened up a nine point lead atop the Betway Premiership standings.
Their recent 4-1 thrashing of Orlando Pirates is leaving Amakhosi fans nervous ahead of their titanic clash.
And now, fans believe there’s one emergency signing that can help Kaizer Chiefs when they face Mamelodi Sundowns on 01 March 2025.
Kaizer Chiefs fans urge the club to hijack Serero from City
Bafana Bafana legend Thulani Serero, currently a free agent, is back in South Africa and set to sign for Cape Town City FC.
Kaizer Chiefs fans however are dreaming of Serero partnering Thabo Cele in the middle of the park against powerhouses Mamelodi Sundowns.
Speaking on X (formerly Twitter), one fan had this to say: “Please sign Serero before Sundowns game to partner Cele. We can’t afford to play them with what we have now …Age is just a number, Pirates signed makhaula..”
Other fans unanimously agreed that Kaizer Chiefs should go all out to convince Serero to join the club, as opposed to joining Cape Town City FC.

The sauce we are cooking is coming along – Nabi
While admitting the club have under-achieved for years, Nasreddine Nabi believes the glory days will soon return to Naturena.
“Step by step, step by step, we will come back. We go step by step, with no pressure, we work seriously and Kaizer Chiefs I promise you in the future we will come back. Now we don’t come back, but we will come back, step by step.” Nabi told IDiski Times following his side’s Nedbank Cup victory.
“They are very good players and we feel that those are the present and future of the club and we just need to add some ingredients but we feel that the sauce that we are cooking is coming along.
“Thank you very much for the support, we work seriously. If we have some problem, I’ll be honest with you, I will give some work. Thank you and come more to support Kaizer Chiefs. Honestly, I love you too much.”
