TESCO shoppers are flocking to stores to get their hands on a new limited-edition Easter treat.
The supermarket is flogging brand-new Hot Cross Bun flavours – including Strawberry and Cream.
“Our new and limited Finest Hot Cross Bun flavours including Rhubarb and Custard, Blueberry & Lemon, and Strawberries & Cream have hopped onto shelves at Tesco!” the store wrote on its Facebook page.
“Grab any 2 for £3 on Clubcard Prices. Which will you try first?”
The delicious doughy treats are available across larger stores, Whoosh and Tesco Express stores.
The offer ends on April 21.
Shoppers jumped into the comment section, with one: “Had the cheese ones… very nice toasted with butter,” one wrote.
“The Salted Caramel and chocolate are to die for, YUMMY,” echoed a second.
“Bought apple and cinnamon they were delicious,” agreed a third.
“The chocolate ones are absolutely lush my favourite by far, toasted very lightly and smothered in butter yummy,” said another.
“I’ve had the blueberry & lemon, and the apple & cinnamon – both delicious,” wrote a fourth.
“Oh Tesco, what are you doing to my diet, I love a Hot Cross bun,” another joked.
Although not everyone is sold on the unusual flavours, with one writing: “They are not hot cross buns with all the fancy flavours, traditional ones for me.”
“Ooh nooo, hot cross buns should be just that, not with all these flavours in. I make my own, with all the ingredients bought at Tesco,” said a second.
“I absolutely love rhubarb and custard. Had these and they were very disappointing,” moaned another.
“Oh I’m afraid it’s just the original ones for me,” agreed a fourth.
“Please leave Hot Cross Buns alone! By all means have different flavoured buns, just do not call them Hot Cross Buns!”
