Arsenal are set to sign St Johnstone wonderkid Callan Hamill after he rejected Scottish clubs Celtic and Rangers, according to reports.
It is believed that Hamill will join Arsenal on July 1, with the Gunners agreeing a deal worth six figures plus add-ons for the youngster.
The 15-year-old, one of the most exciting teenagers in Scottish football, has already trained with Arsenal U18s on a number of occasions.
The move is now set to become official, The Athletic reported on Thursday, with Hamill able to move to England after his 16th birthday in March.
Hamill, who can operate as either a defender or midfielder, reportedly turned down Old Firm duo Celtic and Rangers in the summer of 2024.
The Scotland youth international instead signed a fresh one-year contract at St Johnstone in August, with a dream of one day playing in the Premier League.
Hamill’s dream could become true as he looks to become the latest young star to break in Mikel Arteta’s first team in north London.
He will hope to follow in the footsteps of Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly, who have enjoyed breakthrough seasons at the Emirates.
Hamill was left delighted on Wednesday after conjuring up his first international goal in Scotland U16s’ win over over Cyprus.

‘It was a very proud moment for me and my family to score my first international goal for my country,’ Hamill said.
‘A corner came in and I ran across the front post and attacked it and blasted it into the back of the next. It was an amazing feeling.’
It is thought that Scottish Premiership side St Johnstone are entitled to at least £100,000 in cross-border compensation for Hamill.
Arsenal’s reported deal for Hamill means they have completed their first transfer in 2025, having not signed anyone in the January window.
