Shuja Asad, who plays Sonu Danger in the popular Hum TV drama Tan Man Neel o Neel, has shared heartfelt reflections following the show’s significant success.
The finale of the series, which aired on February 17, 2025, has been widely acclaimed for its bold storytelling and poignant depiction of serious societal issues, including false blasphemy accusations and mob violence.
In his heartfelt post on Instagram, Asad expressed gratitude for the overwhelming response from viewers, emphasizing how the show’s narrative resonated deeply with audiences.
He highlighted that the series not only entertained but also sparked important conversations about contemporary challenges faced by society, particularly in Pakistan.
“I don’t quite know where to begin. The last few weeks have been overwhelming in ways I never expected. The love, the messages, the conversations Tan Man Neelo Neel has sparked—it’s been humbling,” Shuja wrote.
“When I first read the script, I was hesitant. The themes we explored are not things we often see on our screens, let alone speak about openly in our society. But my manager (who I owe the biggest thank you to) @samramuslim convinced me to take this on, and today, I am grateful that I did,” he added.
