SAG Awards 2025: A Night of Emotional Tributes and Surprising Wins

The 31st Screen Actors Guild Awards, held on February 23, 2025, at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, marked a memorable night in Hollywood’s award season.

Hosted by Kristen Bell, the ceremony celebrated outstanding performances in film and television, with Wicked and Shōgun leading the nominations with five each.

The event streamed live on Netflix, honoured actors by their peers, making it a heartfelt tribute to the craft of acting.

Notable moments included Jane Fonda receiving the 60th SAG Life Achievement Award and Jessica Gunning’s surprise win for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series.

Kieran Culkin has solidified his position as a frontrunner for the Oscars by winning the Best Supporting Actor award at the 2025 Screen Actors Guild Awards. This recognition adds to the anticipation surrounding his performance in the upcoming awards season.
