One dead and three injured after bus crash in northwest London

One person has died and three others are in hospital after a bus collided with a car in northwest London.

A 395 bus, which runs from Westway Cross Retail Park to Harrow, was seen with its windscreen completely shattered after the collision around 9:15 p.m. last night on Whitmore Road.

The car appeared to have smashed the left side of the bus window, with the London Ambulance Service saying they responded and sent ‘multiple’ resources to the scene.

In a statement, it said: ‘We sent ambulance crews, a paramedic in a fast response car, an incident response officer, members of our hazardous area response team (HART) as well as command support vehicles.

”We also dispatched a trauma team from London’s Air Ambulance. We treated four patients at the scene before taking two patients to a major trauma centre and discharging one patient at the scene.

‘Very sadly, despite the best efforts of our crews, one person was pronounced dead at the scene.’

Earlier this month, a London woman died after her car collided with a bus in east London.

Paramedics, firefighters and police battled to save her after the collision while the distraught bus driver was on his knees in shock after the crash.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: ???We were called at 9:17pm on 24 February to reports of a road traffic collision near Whitmore Road. ???We sent multiple resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, a paramedic in fast response car, an incident response officer, members of our hazardous area response team (HART) as well as command support vehicles. Her cousin, Jamilah Barry said she was a ‘deeply beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister and cousin.’

She added: ‘Soriah was fierce, loyal and wow – so full of life. She touched so many hearts, and we want to honour her with the farewell she deserves.’
