Party Planet in Lincoln has announced it will be closing down after 27 years open.
The store been the place to go for Quack outfits and Wednesday night socials, but according to a Facebook post by the company, it will cease trading today.
In the post, Party Planet said: “This coming Tuesday, 25th February 2025 will be our last day of trading after 27 wonderful years.
As a parting gift, the store is having a closing down sale, with half price items for Halloween, Christmas, Father’s Day, Mother’s Day and St Patrick’s Day which is soon approaching.
The post has been flooded with over 100 comments showing their love for the shop and sharing personal stories of their experiences with the store.
One commenter wrote: “My grandmother used to call every year from the US since 1999, for my birthday and my sister’s birthday. She had a great relationship with you guys, and it made our day to see your little van show up with balloons. So many great memories.”
Another shared: “Gutted that you’re closing, but wish you all the best moving forward. It was such a shock when I popped in this weekend to order some balloons. Your balloon art is exceptional and you’ve all got such an eye for design and colours!
“You’ve all been amazing these past few years and become a real birthday tradition in our house. Definitely part of our forever memories! Thank you all.”
There is no news on what the unit will be used for in the future, or what the owners plan on doing after the closure, but as can be seen in the post’s comments, they have been wished the best of luck in their next endeavour.
