AUGUSTA (WJBF) – On February 25th, about 11:00 pm, deputies with the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office responded to Bobby Jones Expressway between Laney Walker Blvd. and Doug Bernard Pkwy, about a traffic accident involving a motorcycle.
Upon arrival, deputies found a white man in the grassy median on the eastbound side of the expressway.
Preliminary investigation showed that the driver was traveling west on Bobby Jones and lost control of the motorcycle.
The coroners office was called to the scene.
The investigation is still ongoing and no further details will be released at this time
