For those of you still working across the world today, the messaging app Slack is broken.

According to Downdetector, problems first started to emerge around 3pm this afternoon and peaked at 4.30pm, with around 600 users reporting issues.

Workers are reporting problems with the app, website and logging in to send and receive messages.

Slack shared: ‘Users may also experience issues when attempting to log-in.

‘Thank you for your continued patience as we continue investigating. We’ll be following up with further updates as they become available.’

Many have used the outage as an excuse to stop work, kick back and relax.

While another sees the outage as a sign from above.

‘Slack is down and It’s going to be 59 degrees outside. This is God telling us to touch grass,’ they posted.

Meanwhile somebody else posted: ‘Slack is a broken system, we shouldn’t have given up on email.’
