
A HUGE £15million water park right by the beach will finally reopen after shutting for more than a year.
The major tourist attraction could reopen in “early summer.”


Denbighshire Leisure Ltd confirmed the reopening today on March 4.
Its Managing Director pledged they are “committed to making this the best summer we’ve ever had.”
SC2 Waterpark in Rhyl, Wales, previously closed after its roof was damaged during a storm.
The £15million attraction remained shut throughout the summer, despite the school summer holidays being its most popular period.
However, SC2 indoor waterpark is on track to reopen in early Summer.
And the team are working tirelessly to reopen the outdoor Splash Pad in time for the summer school holidays in July.
The Ninja TAG arena and dinosaur themed Adventure Soft Play will continue to operate as normal.
With the reopening comes dozens of new job opportunists.
DLL are now holding a recruitment day, with up to 40 new jobs being advertised ahead of the waterpark reopening.
Bosses said the team are putting in every effort to ensure that SC2 comes back “back bigger and better than ever before.”
With developments occurring on the Splash Pad to incorporate more fun.
Along with new attractions within the Rainforest Diner.
Jamie Groves, Managing Director at DLL, told North Wales Live: “Everyone at DLL was devastated to spend the whole of last year without our much loved waterpark.
“So, as you can imagine, we are extremely excited to be planning the reopening.
“We are working on a new seasonal programme that will include lots of free offers as well as low cost offers for local residents to welcome everyone back.
“SC2 is the jewel in Rhyl’s crown and we cannot wait to make memories with residents and visitors again.
“We are thrilled to be bringing more employment opportunities to the community; almost doubling our workforce since the company was born back in 2020; and we are committed to making this the best summer we’ve ever had at SC2.
“I would personally like to thank everyone who has been supporting us while this work has been going on, the whole workforce have truly appreciated all of your messages of support and now, excitement for the reopening!
“In true DLL style, we will not let this set back get us down and we are excited to come back bigger and better than ever, with some exciting surprises to be announced soon.”
The C2 recruitment day will be held on Thursday, March 13.
Vacancies at SC2 will include, Lifeguards, Kitchen and restaurant staff, Tag active and Guest Services.
