A motorcyclist has died after a collision with a supercar on the M2 motorway.
The white Yamaha motorbike was involved in a collision with a purple McLaren supercar at around 2.40pm this afternoon.
They were both driving on the coastbound carriageway of the M2 between junctions 3 and 4 for Medway.
Emergency services rushed to the scene but the motorcycle rider, a man in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The McLaren did not stop at the scene, but it was later found by police.
The driver has now been arrested in connection with the crash, and he is still in custody while Kent Police investigate.
A force spokesperson said: ‘Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit is carrying out enquiries and urge anyone who saw what happened or has relevant dashcam footage to contact them.
‘This includes any footage capturing the manner of driving from either vehicles prior to the collision too.’
The motorway was closed while police investigated the scene. The Londonbound carriageway reopened after about 90 minutes, but the coastbound side of the road remained shut for several hours.
