Adrian Araouzou has basically admitted to going on MAFS Australia for fame, and while I’m not usually a clout-chaser apologist, you’ve just got to appreciate the honesty.
Adrian Araouzou entered the experiment and was instantly smitten with his bride Awhina Rutene – even after she dropped the bomb she’s a mother post-nuptials. Things seem to be going well so far, but according to spoilers that won’t last and the couple will be forced to weather – or crumble – underneath some relationship pressures.
For years, reality TV stars have firmly claimed over and over again that finding love was their only motivation for going on the show and it’s exhausting. Just admit that you want that whitening strip brand deal and one million Instagram followers, there’s no shame in that. Now one finally has admitted it and it’s completely refreshing.
In an interview with Yahoo addressing his fan page controversy, Adrian was incredibly candid about his motivations for joining the MAFS Australia season 12 cast.
“Everyone that goes on the show is usually open for love, and the byproduct of going on the show and putting yourself out there for the world to judge, to love or whatever it might be, is getting your two minutes of fame,” he said.
He also said that “everyone” would do it if they were willing to put themselves through the experience for the inevitable payoff.
“What is wrong with someone wanting to go on the show, finding love, becoming famous and excelling in your business?” Adrian added. “If you can do it all in one hit, the majority of people will do it if they’re willing to put themselves out to the world, and that’s just the way I view it.”
He kinda knew he’d be facing criticism
We have seen the tip of Adrian’s red flag poking out from behind him a few times already, but according to viewers in Australia, Adrian will really rub us the wrong way in the coming weeks. Ironically, he fully expected the pushback and does not seem phased by it.
“There were no negatives going on the show for me,” he shared.
“Yeah you could cop some hate online, so what? Prior to going on the show, I had my own social media platform. I had videos where they’ve hit millions of views, where people hate, where people love. I was already well aware of what might come my way and I already copped some of that anyway. I don’t care what people have to say about me, and I think that’s what everyone should believe.”
