Donald Trump turned the White House into a Tesla showroom this week as a promo for Elon Musk’s car brand, and a picture of his hilarious notes has gone viral.
The billionaire parked five Teslas on the Washington D.C. driveway for the President to choose one to buy, and they live-streamed the whole thing as an advert.
It comes after Trump said that he planned to buy one of Elon’s cars in a post on his social media site Truth Social, although presidents aren’t actually allowed to drive on public roads.
In the videos, the 78-year-old is seen standing next to a red Cybertruck holding a piece of paper, but what did it say?
Well, a close-up reveals that the papers were actually notes about all the cars including models and prices, proving that Trump had no idea what he was talking about.
This is what it said:
“Tesla Pricing
Full Self Driving
Model X – $112,490 (silver)
CT – $114,000 (Gray)
Model S – $108,990 (Blue)
Model Y – $59,990 (Red)
Teslas can be purchased as low as $299/month of $35k.
All cars have self driving, just needs to be turned on (fee).”
BREAKING: After mocking President Biden for using note cards, Trump got caught red-handed today—holding his own notes on what to say about buying a Tesla, a car he clearly knows nothing about.
So, is the media gonna make a big deal out of this? Or nah? pic.twitter.com/pCLLr7wxQv

It hilariously reads like a Tesla sales pitch. Is he a car salesman or the President of the United States?!
The notes were attached to a script of Trump’s speech, ending with: “In support of those workers, their families and… I will personally be buying a Tesla.”
When a reporter asked him about the papers, he claimed he was just “given them” and didn’t actually need them, saying: “I’m not Biden, I don’t need notes.”
Whether he used them or not, people are still calling him out on X.
“After mocking President Biden for using note cards, Trump got caught red-handed today—holding his own notes on what to say about buying a Tesla, a car he clearly knows nothing about,” one person wrote.
Another said: “Can we just pause and realize how utterly insane it is that Trump is having a private Tesla showing at the White House. Look at his notes, he’s not a slimy car-salesman but the POTUS.”
