Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi has named his starting line-up for Wednesday’s clash against Cape Town City.
Kick-off at FNB Stadium is at 19:30.
Amakhosi head into this encounter on the back of a controversial 3-1 win over another Western Cape-based side Stellenbosch FC in the Nedbank Cup.
However, their last league game saw them succumb to a 4-1 defeat at the hands of SuperSport United.
The Glamour Boys will now look to bounce back from that loss and get back to winning ways in order to improve their position on the log.
However, it is not going to be easy for them given their horrible record against Cape Town City in recent seasons.
Looking at the last five meetings between the two sides, City won four to Amakhosi’s none while there has been a single draw.
The first round meeting ended 1-0 in favour of City, thanks to Darwin Gonzalez’s solitary strike.
This means Chiefs will be out to avoid being beaten twice in a same campaign by Muhsin Ertugral’s charges.
Chiefs are currently eighth on the log with just 28 points from 20 league games, and as a result, they are practically out of the title race.
All Chiefs are playing for is to finish as high as possible on the log as they continue to fancy their chances of finishing within the allocated CAF spots.
