The following article contains spoilers from an episode of Emmerdale that hasn’t aired on ITV yet, but can be viewed on ITVX.
Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly) has finally told Steph (Georgia Jay) everything about Anthony (Nicholas Day) in Emmerdale, including the reason behind his sudden vanishing.
This week, Steph’s quest to find out what happened to her granddad took a turn when she found a gun in the safe at Mill Cottage.
She confronted Ruby and Caleb (William Ash) and at first, Caleb said that he used it in a showdown with Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley), shortly after he learnt about him sleeping with Ruby.
Steph then raced to Butlers to see if Cain gave her the same story. He did, but Steph failed to realise Caleb had got to his brother first.
Steph concluded that the confrontation between the two brothers never happened, because she would’ve known about it by now. In a chat with Ross (Michael Parr), Steph knew if she got the police involved, she’d discover the truth in a much quicker way.
In tonight’s episode, she came very close to going to the station but was stopped by Ruby and then Caleb. Ruby was going to tell Steph all of her secrets, but Caleb interrupted and said he killed Anthony instead.
He then took himself off to the police station to prevent Steph from reporting him. After Ruby watched Caleb leave, she went back inside and built up the courage to tell her daughter that Anthony was sexually abusing her.

It didn’t take Steph very long to work out that it meant Anthony was her father, not Caleb. She was utterly horrified, and then decided Caleb killed the old man because he had found out Ruby’s secret.
Steph was then knocked even further when her mum confirmed she killed Anthony.
Reeling from the news, Steph’s focus then turned to Caleb, who was waiting in the police station reception.
With that, the two characters sped off down the road, ready to make a huge decision about Caleb’s future…
