Kaizer Chiefs Transfer News: Two midfielders

Kaizer Chiefs are highly expected to announce at least one central midfielder before the start of the 2025/26.

KAIZER CHIEFS TARGET TWO MIDFIELDERS

Looking at the past week’s stories, Amakhosi is still linked with Feisal Salum of Azam FC in Tanzania, as well as Luke Le Roux, who plays his football in Sweden for IFK Värnamo.

FEISAL SALUM

According to the CitizenAmakhosi have kickstarted discussions with Azam to sign the 27-year-old midfield prototype. “Informal talks between Chiefs and Azam have already started, but as you know, until an offer has been submitted, there’ll be denials all over,” a source told the outlet. “But what I can tell you is that talks have indeed started,” the source added.

“Football is business, Azam may say now that they’re not willing to sell, but they know that they’ll have to sell if the player doesn’t want to renew his contract. They won’t want to risk losing him for free,” he concluded.

LUKE LE ROUX

According to Soccer LadumaAmakhosi are hot on the heels of the 24-year-old star who currently plays his football for Värnamo in Sweden. Kaizer Chiefs believe they stand a great chance to win Le Roux as it is not yet in great demand in the Betway Premiership. “What the club has decided on their recruitment policy is to try and sig much players as possible who are not in demand from their local rivals many occasions when they are competing with other local teams they up not signing those players,” a source told the outlet. “Now that’s why they have reignited the pu of Luke Le Roux. He is a South African but currently playing in Europe ar they believe they stand a better chance of signing him,” the insider added.

KAIZER CHIEFS TO TARGET PLAYERS FROM ABROAD

According to coach Nabi, Betway Premiership clubs have been unwilling to sell players to the Glamour Boys. The club’s new transfer strategy is to target players from abroad. The latest example was Thabo Cele, who joined the club in January after leaving his Russian club FC Fakel Voronezh.

“We know the competition, it’s hard to sign players from other clubs in South Africa for us, so we need to change our strategy and we have a new strategy in management for that,” the Kaizer Chiefs mentor said via iDiski Times. “It’s not for me to talk to you about it, but the club, we have a new strategy that we are working on. After this window, we will maybe look outside, another country for other players.

“But it’s not about names, I don’t need big names, I need the profile of the player that can fit into my system, not a name. And we will go outside South Africa if we need to.

“But I don’t want too many players, but I want the quality players that my game model needs,” concluded the Kaizer Chiefs tactician.
