The Harry Potter star Jessie Cave (aka Lavender Brown) unexpectedly announced this week that she’s starting an OnlyFans to “get out of debt” and remove the arsenic wallpaper from her house. Absolutely nobody knows what to do with this information. So, here’s a nostalgic look at what all our other favourite Harry Potter cast members are up to now in 2025. I swear they’re all just like their characters, but in real life.
Emma Watson is at the University of Oxford
Emma Watson has turned out to be as much of a brainy over-achiever as Hermione Granger. She’s currently at the University of Oxford, studying a DPhil (Oxford’s equivalent of a PhD). Emma Watson already completed a Master’s in creative writing at Lady Margaret Hall. It’s been reported she’s dating another University of Oxford student, and they’ve been spotted studying in coffee shops together. Aw.
Evanna Lynch (aka Luna Lovegood) is a vegan activist and author
Evanna Lynch wrote a memoir about her struggles with eating disorders called The Opposite of Butterfly Hunting: The Tragedy and The Glory of Growing Up.
She’s also a passionate activist for animal rights and veganism. Evanna published recipes for vegan Harry Potter themed sweet treats, including butterbeer. She owns two cats and enjoys knitting and aerial acrobatics.
Rupert Grint owns an ice cream van
I am not making this up. When Rupert was a child, his ambition was to run an ice cream van. He bought one to learn to drive in. Rupert used to drive his ice cream van to Tesco and the pub, but people would get confused and queue up to buy ice cream. He started stocking the van with real lollies, to avoid disappointing kids. But he couldn’t actually charge people for the ice cream, because he didn’t have a license.
Rupert Grint has been in a relationship with Georgia Groome – who played Georgia in Angus, Thongs and Perfect snogging – since 2011. Their daughter Wednesday was born in 2020.
Crabbe’s actor went to prison

That’s the reason why Crabbe isn’t in the Battle of Hogwarts with Draco and Goyle. In the middle of shooting Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows: Part 1, police pulled over Jamie Waylett. They found a cannabis farm in his room worth £2,000. Jamie was later jailed for participating in the London riots in 2011.
Since prison, Jamie Waylett has attempted to launch a rap career using the name Bully. He also has a Cameo, and charges fans a whopping £154 for videos.
Daniel Radcliffe is still acting
He recently appeared in a documentary called David Holmes: The Boy Who Lived. The film is about Danielle Radcliffe’s stunt double in the Harry Potter films, who was sadly paralysed while working on The Deathly Hallows Part 1.
Daniel started dating the American actor Erin Darke in 2012. Their first son was born in April 2024.
Tom Felton is constantly making TikToks reminding the world he was Draco Malfoy
Babes, it’s been 14 years since the last film. Some of the Harry Potter stars have tried to distance themselves from the famous franchise, to avoid being typecast. Not Tom Felton. He even wrote a book about his time on Harry Potter called Beyond the Wand: The Magic and Mayhem of Growing Up a Wizard. Emma Watson wrote the foreword. She referred to them as “soulmates” and all the Dramione shippers on Tumblr practically died from excitement.
Tom Felton is also now training to be a racing driver. Sure.
Katie Leung is going to star in the next season of Bridgerton
Um, is it just me who only just learned Cho Chang’s actor voices Caitlyn Kiramman in Arcane? My mind is so blown. She’s going to play Lady Araminta Gun in Bridgerton Season 4 – the step-mother of Benedict Bridgerton’s new love interest.
