Five men brought traffic on a downtown street to a halt in a head-turning way – by twerking.
A cop spotted a 2016 Chevy Malibu stopped at a green light at an intersection in downtown Memphis, Tennessee, and saw four men ‘twerking around the car outside,’ states a police affidavit.
As if that wasn’t a strange enough sight, the officer said that a fifth man was ‘dancing on the car’s hood’.
The quintet blocked traffic at South Second Street and Union Avenue, roughly three blocks east of the Mississippi River, on Monday night.

Their impromptu dance party was quickly crushed by police who arrested them ‘so the offense would not happen again’, according to the Memphis Police Department affidavit obtained by WREG.
They have been identified as Rashaun Bryant, 22, Mandre’Co Mays, 18, MeKell Sanders, 18, Jordan Smith, 19, and Desmond Subbery, 18.
All five were charged with obstructing a highway or passageway, and are scheduled to appear in court next week.
Smith was found to have a warrant for vandalism.
Their mugshots released by the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office showed three of the men had dark hair, one had blonde hair, and one had red hair. One of the men with dark hair smiled slightly, while the other four gave blank expressions.
They were booked into a jail, with Smith’s bail amount set at $2,100. The other four men were feed on their own recognizance.
The five were busted nearly six years after a drunk woman twerked on a cop while screaming ‘arrest me’, and was taken into custody.
A video showed the 17-year-old woman in Newbridge, South Wales, attempting to twerk on the police officer while shouting, ‘I’m waiting for you to arrest me. Arrest me with your c**k.’
When the officer handcuffed her, she said, ‘Oh yes, baby!’
