Mamelodi Sundowns star set to jet off to French club!

Mamelodi Sundowns could be set to already lose one of their promising young players in the near future.

Sundowns has seen a plethora of their players linked with moves abroad, with a new name entering the list.

Sundowns players attracting European interest

In the last 18 months the likes Teboho Mokoena, Khuliso Mudau, Bathusi Aubaas, Lucas Ribeiro and Iqraam Rayners. Those being players who are part of a Bafana Bafana side that is in resurgence, bar Ribeiro. With the national team’s success and the growth of Sundowns both locally and on the continent, European interest was inevitable. But now according to the latest, even one of their upcoming talents has emerged as a target abroad.

According to Soccer-Laduma, Sundowns centre back and rising star Malibongwe Khoza is wanted in France!

Khoza the latest

“He (Khoza) has done very well and has attracted interest from France. That club has enquired about him and they even sent their representatives to watch him during games. But they want to do their own assignment during the off season. That can only happen after the Club World Cup which ends in July. But this is a great chance for him to move to Europe while still young,” said one source

A second source is of the impression that Sundowns will not stand in Khoza’s way of a potential move.

“If you look at how Sundowns have signed their defenders they are prepared for any eventuality including Mali (Khoza) moving to France. They have the right replacements mainly in the central defensive areas. They are willing to see their players grow and if all goes well for him it’s believed he has the club’s blessings,” said the source.

Should Masandawana sell him to France?

Should Sundowns decide to sell Khoza, they will still be well stocked at centre-back. The likes of Mothobi Mvala, Grant Kekana, Lucas Suarez, Keanu Cupido, Mosa Lebusa and Rivaldo Coetzee to mention a few. Would selling the youngster be a good move for the Brazilians?
