Beloved Coronation Street couple Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) and Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) finally made up in tonight’s episode, and are keen to look to the future.
Individually, Daisy and Daniel have had a rough year, and their reunion has proved no less rocky.
The couple had an ill-advised one night stand last year, while Daniel was still dating Bethany Platt.
However, when Daisy found out she was pregnant and announced that Daniel might be the father in front of Bethany, she officially ended things with him before moving to London.
In the weeks that followed, Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) told Daniel that he was definitely the father, much to Daisy’s horror.
Daisy informed Jenny that she had made a mistake, as Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) was the baby’s real dad, but ultimately decided to hide the truth from Daniel, who admitted that he still loved her, before the pair officially got back together.
However, everything fell apart last week when the truth was exposed, leading Daisy to storm out of the pub and straight into the path of a speeding car.
Daisy was absolutely devastated to learn that the accident had caused a placental abruption and her baby had died.
Though Daniel hoped that they would be able to go back to how things were between them, Daisy couldn’t see a way forward.
Feeling as though Daniel was trying to pretend the baby had never existed, she furiously ended things with him.
In tonight’s episode, though, she finally made up with Jenny, who offered Daisy some advice after she admitted she wasn’t coping.
Jenny warned Daisy not to throw her chances of happiness with Daniel away, insisting that they were made for each other.
Taking on board her advice, Daisy headed to his flat with a peace offering in the shape of a bottle of wine, and apologised for telling him she didn’t love him.
As Daniel forgave her, the pair shared a tender kiss as they decided to make a go of things.
Will their romance last or, with actress Charlotte Jordan set to leave the show, could there be more heartbreak on the way?
