Neighbours are lining up an explosive 40th anniversary week for the residents of Ramsay Street, as Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis) prepares to become a dad for the seventh time.

With Chelsea Murphy (Viva Bianca) back on the scene – with her newborn baby Thomas – a paternity test is needed, and quick.

How will his partner Terese Willis (Rebekah Elmaloglou) feel when he begins to soften towards the idea of being a father again?

A number of familiar faces make their way back to the Amazon Prime Video soap, namely twisted Dr Darcy Tyler (Mark Raffety) makes an epic comeback, and has become Karl and Susan Kennedy’s (Alan Fletcher and Jackie Woodburne) new neighbour!

But is he a changed man?

Show legend Harold Bishop (Ian Smith) is similarly spooked by a face from his past… or rather, from beyond the grave.

A mysterious woman named Agnes Adair (Anne Charleston) rocks up at Lassiters, and before long, JJ Varga-Murphy (Riley Bryant) clocks her strikingly resemblance to Harold’s late wife Madge.

Plus, Leo Tanaka (Tim Kano) begins to wonder whether he’ll ever see fiancée Krista Sinclair (Majella Davis) walk down the aisle as their big day approaches, as a catastrophic fire takes hold at Fitzgerald Motors.

Forget the West Waratah Star, Metro is the place to be for all the hottest goss from Neighbours. Here’s your 40th anniversary spoilers…

Monday, March 17

It’s Leo and Krista’s wedding day, at long last… but she’s riddled with guilt, having woken up next to Seb (Rarmian Newton) after a night of passion.

Sister Fallon (Kate Connick) is feeling similarly caught out, and confesses that she didn’t sleep with Leo and has been actively attempting to sabotage their relationship.

She then comes clean about her previous romance with Seb, and how he ended things because he was too attached to Krista.

Having opened up, Fallon tells Seb that they need to back away and let the couple be happy.

For Leo, he’s wondering whether he will end the day as a married man or not. Paul counsels Krista, urging her to cut Seb out of her life and marry the man she loves.

Fallon insists that she doesn’t let her actions prevent a happy future, but Krista remains torn by her infidelity.

What will she do? (Picture: Prime)

It’s a tense moment at the harbour side, as Leo anxiously awaits his blushing bride’s arrival… and Seb lurks in the shadows.

Will Krista jilt her fiancé at the eleventh hour?

Back at the Lassiters Complex, the residents are thrilled to see Nell’s (Ayisha Salem-Towner) ‘Story of Erinsborough’ exhibition in full swing. There’s pop art images of familiar faces surrounding the area, completed by a Scott and Charlene cardboard cutout by the lake.

Everyone congratulates her over breakfast, but it’s not long before JJ is troubled by another familiar face – from beyond the grave.

JJ bumps into a familiar face – why does Agnes look so much like Madge? (Picture: Jackson Finter/Prime)

A woman named Agnes Adair is found staring at a picture of the late Madge Bishop, and he’s spooked by the likeness between the women.

After looking over Harold’s history book, he and Nell secretly snap a pic of Agnes.

Who is she, and why does she look so much like Madge?

The Varga-Murphys take a stroll around the exhibition, and when Remi (Naomi Rukavina) heads off to work she makes a mysterious phone call pretending to be Chelsea.

Cara (Sara West) rushes home, and discovers that her wife has found her sister.

When Paul and Terese pull onto the street, they’re stunned to see her emerge from a car… babe in arms.

Is this Robinson child number 7?

Tuesday, March 18

Paul is stunned and can’t stop looking at the baby, as Remi explains how she tracked Chelsea down.

He’s determined to find out whether he is baby Thomas’ father, but new mum Chelsea insists that she doesn’t know whether he is his, or dodgy IT guy Jeffrey’s (Tim Potter).

In a bid to stay calm, Paul demands a paternity test – but Terese can’t help but notice how attached her partner is to the child already. She wonders whether if he is the dad, it’ll be another stumbling block in their future.

Remi and Cara debrief over the situation, and agree to give Chelsea a room in their house whilst she sorts out the situation.

Elsewhere, JJ tracks down Agnes and drops subtle hints that she should pop by Eirini Rising, hoping that she’ll bump into Harold.

She takes him up on the offer, but when they head to the recreation room, the Kennedys, Hilary (Anne Scott Pendlebury) and Harold’s jaws drop at her likeness to Madge.

Agnes is unnerved by the attention and reasons that she should leave, but JJ persuades her to stay and look around. On their walk, he tells her about Madge and she admits that she too was surprised by how much she looked like the woman in Nell’s artwork.

Despite everything, she doesn’t want to upset Harold any further and thinks that it’s best to keep her distance.

Over on Power Road, danger is looming for Max (Ben Jackson) as Andrew (Lloyd Will) updates him, Shane (Peter O’Brien) and Holly (Lucinda Armstrong-Hall) on Carter’s movements.

A fire breaks out at Fitzgerald Motors (Picture: Jackson Finter/Prime)

Believing that he is heading back to Melbourne, Andrew suggests the best way to lure Carter into a trap is by using Max as bait.

He’s tired of hiding, and reluctantly agrees, with his nearest and dearest firmly against the idea.

Holly informs Roxy (Zima Anderson) about the sting, but the women are unaware that Lachie has overheard them and has lopped Carter in on what is happening.

He spots them planning Max’s next move by torchlight in the garage, as Sadie (Emerald Chan), Byron (Xavier Molyneux) and Nicolette (Hannah Monson) head inside.

The friends are overjoyed to be together again, but their joy is cut short when Lachie throws a Molotov cocktail into the garage, setting it on fire and placing everyone in a perilous situation.

Wednesday, March 19

Holly rushes to Shane and Andrew to tell them that Max and Roxy have gone to the garage, and as the fire intensifies, neither can find an escape route.

Byron heads back into the burning building and sees Sadie and Nicolette have been knocked unconscious. In a split-second decision, he drags his sister to safety, as Sadie watches on in horror.

He returns for his girlfriend, but a piece of the building falls to the ground and blocks his path. Andrew and Shane arrive and help him rescue her, but she’s sustained serious burns on her back.

Everyone keeps vigil at her hospital bedside as Andrew’s emotions escalate from the uncertainty, and he begins to pin the blame on Max again.

Later, CCTV footage confirms that Lachie caused the fire and Roxy is shocked to learn that their friendship was merely to track her cousin down.

A returning Wendy (Candice Leask), plus Andrew and Byron are overjoyed to be able to see Sadie, but she becomes distressed by the sight of her boyfriend and orders him to leave.

He breaks down to his family, worrying that she’ll never forgive him.

As the dust settles, news breaks that Carter has been found and arrested. During a celebratory moment, Holly and Max connect, but are soon stopped in their tracks by Trevor the dog!

Elsewhere, things are tense at No. 30 as Remi has to calm down her feuding teenage boys, who are angry that Chelsea’s arrival means they now have to share a bedroom.

Chelsea tries to get ahead of the police on her return to Erinbsorough and calls Andrew, but he doesn’t pick up. Cara is emotional whilst looking after baby Thomas, and Remi wonders whether he is a painful reminder of her infertility.

Jeffrey arrives to take the DNA test, and whilst he isn’t yet prepared to bond with the child, he promises to support Chelsea if he is the father. Later, he asserts that it’s clear she wants Paul to be the father.

Uncertainty is consuming Terese, but she reassures Paul that she’ll support him. Nell reminds her of when Hugo came to live with her family, and that Sonya found herself in a similar situation.

Paul helps Nell and Terese settle into the penthouse when everyone arrives to take their parts of the DNA test for full transparency – surprisingly suggested by Chelsea.

Terese and Chelsea both clock how emotionally invested he is in the idea of becoming a father again, and he soon comes clean about his hope that he is a positive match as it would allow for a second chance after losing David.

Soon, Remi gets a call. Paul is the baby daddy.

Thursday, March 20

Paul and Terese break the news to Nell and JJ. Cara and Remi commit to supporting Chelsea, who is shocked to see how good Paul is being with baby Thomas and how easily he is able to comfort him.

Later, Terese is thrown to find the new parents together in the penthouse, with Paul assuring her that she remains his priority.

On Ramsay Street, Melanie (Lucinda Cowden) catches up with Jane (Annie Jones), Karl and Susan, and spot a new tenant moving into No. 22.

Jane and Terese have a welcome chat with the new neighbour, who is none other than dastardly doctor Darcy Tyler – Susan’s nephew – who is back in Erinsborough after twenty years.

Karl and Susan nervously approach him, and struggle to believe that he’s wanting to right the wrongs of his past and has managed to get his medical license reinstated.

Darcy takes time to explain his motivations, and tries to convince them he’s a changed man.

But is he?

Elsewhere, Leo notices that Krista is behaving out of character and wonders whether it’s because of his treatment of Seb. He reasons that he may be finally willing to accept him, and they can move on.

Krista’s guilt gets the worst of her, and she continues to hide the fact she slept with her best pal.

Fallon heads to confront Seb, angered by the fact he’s still in town, but Taye stops her – she no longer needs to get involved.
