Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) discovered some worrying information from PC Swirling in tonight’s episode of Emmerdale.

Over the past few months, when Mack isn’t helping to look after sister Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb), he’s clashing with Ross Barton (Michael Parr), who returned a few months ago.

Ross is the father of Charity Dingle’s (Emma Atkins) son Moses. When he got back to the Dales, he went up against Mack, who felt jealous due to his own connection with the young lad.

Mack’s hatred towards Ross was revisited in tonight’s episode, as the troublemaker rocked up the village in a new pick-up truck.

Mack was walking out of the shop at the time, and pointed out to Ross that he had parked his vehicle in the wrong place.

Ross being Ross, simply did not care.

A while later, when Ross returned to Butlers, he was surprised to see Mackenzie sitting with PC Swirling. They explained to him that farm thefts in the area have increased in recent days.

Ross listened, but wasn’t really sure why Mack and Swirling were telling him.

They pointed out they needed to be vigilant in case the gang targets Butlers, and Ross happily agreed.

Mack then wondered if Ross was involved in one of the thefts in a neighbouring farm, because it’s awfully suspicious he’s been able to afford a brand new pick-up.

And of course, Ross denied it.

This storyline will eventually lead to a new arrival in the Dales as Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) meets Kammy (Shebz Miah), a young lad taking part in the farm thefts.

Sarah doesn’t initially realise that Kammy has stolen a quad bike from Moira’s farm, but she quickly works it out when Ross approaches and starts making accusations.

Unexpectedly, Sarah covers for Kammy – and it’s not long before the two are racing stolen quad bikes across a field together.

Katie Hill told us, ‘I can’t wait for the audience to meet Kammy – he’s a really fun character and a great addition to the village. We might even see him and Sarah get up to a bit of mischief together.

‘It has been great having Shebz join the cast and he’s been brilliant to work with!’.
