Whilst Ekin-Su was on All Stars, it was revealed fellow Love Island winner Davide Sanclimenti had moved on too, and was dating someone else. But now, his new girlfriend is facing prison over a tax row?! I’m sure this wasn’t what Davide was expecting.
Davide went official with his new girlfriend at the start of the year. They shared photos of themselves travelling, and celebrating Lunar New Year. However now, it’s been reported Iris Au is facing prison, after pleading guilty to a tax charge.
According to The Sun, Davide’s girlfriend is better known as EyeRize, and is an LA mother who documents her life online. She is also the founder and CEO of VURG.com.
It’s been reported she’s plead guilty to a criminal tax charge, and will face up to three years in federal prison as a result. Iris was charged with a single-count information with subscribing to a false tax return. She is said to be the former girlfriend of cryptocurrency fraudster Iza, who dubbed himself “The Godfather.”
The publication states the Justice Department has said Iris failed to report more than $2.6million (£2million) in ill-gotten gains, obtained via her then-boyfriend’s criminal activities.
A report from the United States Attorney’s Office read: “Au admitted in her plea agreement that she transferred more than $2.6million from these various accounts to her personal bank accounts during the period 2020 through 2023, income that she wilfully failed to report to the IRS on her federal tax returns. After pleading guilty, Au will face up to three years in federal prison.”
It later added: “At Iza’s direction, Au created shell corporations and opened bank accounts in the names of those entities. She then used the illicit funds placed into those accounts to pay approximately $1million to the deputies, mostly in cash, purchase or lease luxury real estate, cars, jewellery, and clothing, pay for recreational activity for Iza and herself valued at nearly $10million, and acquire approximately $16million in cryptocurrency for Iza.”
