Stranger Things actor Millie Bobby Brown has revealed she just like the rest of us – riding the coattails of our parents’ Netflix subscription.
The screen star rose to fame aged 12 when she played the lead, Eleven, in one of Netflix’s biggest shows that started in 2016 and will conclude with a fifth and final season later this year.
She also has a lucrative deal with Netflix which involves her starring as the titular heroine in the Enola Holmes franchise and, most recently, appeared in the $320million (£246m) critical flop, The Electric State.
It is understood that the group of young stars have a pay packet totalling $7m (£5.5m) each for the upcoming season of Stranger Things and the two adult leads, Winona Ryder and David Harbour, will secure £9.5m.
Millie will get top billing although her exact salary is undisclosed as part of her wider deal with Netflix. We know it will, at least, match the adult stars and comes after it was reported she was paid $10m (£7.7m) for Enola Holmes 2.

Despite the hefty paycheck, in a new interview with the actor on The Capital Evening Show with Jimmy Hill she revealed that she still uses her parent’s login for the streaming platform.

When Jimmy asked if she gets a free Netflix account as part of the perks of being such a loyal employee, the answer was a resounding no. He added that One Day star Leo Woodall still uses his mum’s account.
‘Yeah, do you know what? I’m like that too. I’m still using my parent’s account,’ Millie said.
Then added: ‘I’m still using my parent’s account. I kind of refuse to pay for the subscription, because my parents pay and I’m still a child in my eyes, and in their eyes. So yeah, I’m part of the family deal.’
Millie has made clear that she is a woman with an eye for a bargain.
The skincare brand owner opened up to the Call Her Daddy podcast about her very different spending habits to her wealthy husband, Jake Bongiovi.
She explained: ‘I’ll be like: “Oh, I need socks,” and he’ll be like: “Let’s go to Prada!” And I’m like: “Let’s go to Target, like, what?!”
‘He’s just that kind of guy. He loves to go shopping; he will refuse to pack a suitcase because he likes to go shopping in the place we are going, whereas I’m like: Amazon basics. I love that.’

She added: ‘Even when I do spend money on something, I have to call my parents. I have to think about it; I go back. I don’t just buy it right away.’
The star is currently on a spree of confessions recently.
In a Buzzfeed chat with her Electric State co-star Chris Pine, she admitted that her real name is not actually Millie Bobby Brown.
‘My middle name is Bonnie,’ she told Chris, who replied incredulously: ‘Millie Bobby Bonnie Brown?’
She clarified: ‘No, it’s not Bobby. It’s Millie Bonnie Brown. I’ve never told anyone that. You heard it here first,’ adding that it was just for ‘s**** and giggles’.
The actor has been under intense scrutiny over her appearance in recent weeks and has hit back against critics who say her style makes her look old.

In an emotional Instagram video she said: ‘I started in this industry when I was 10 years old, I grew up in front of the world, and for some reason, people can’t seem to grow with me.
‘Instead, they act like I’m supposed to stay frozen in time, like I should still look the way I did on Stranger Things Season 1. And because I don’t, I’m now a target.’
She said it was ‘bullying’ and that the attention on ‘my face, my body, my choices, it’s disturbing’.
Tune into The Capital Evening Show with Jimmy Hill, weekdays from 7pm-10pm on Capital and Global Player
