I reckon the MAFS Australia producers should start matching people based on their star signs. This would probably have better results than when the experts attempt to pair people.
It’s safe to say the MAFS Australia experts did not consult any astrology charts before pairing this year’s couples. So many of these zodiacs are just objectively not good fits. Here is a very scientific analysis of how compatible (or deeply incompatible) all the MAFS Australia couples are, according to their star signs.
Adrian and Awhina

Okay, this is seriously trippy. Adrian, who is an identical twin and married an identical twin, is in fact… the sign of the twins. Adrian is a Gemini. Air signs can be a bit more detached from the people around them, which made explain why Adrian is taking a bit longer to open up to Awhina.
She’s a Pisces, which means she’s a super compassionate and in touch with her emotions. There’s no reason why a Gemini and a Pisces can’t work out. There might be other reasons why Adrian and Awhina don’t work out, though.
Ashleigh and Jake

Er, so apparently Jake is a Gemini. This star sign is supposed to be the best with words. I am questioning that after watching Jake in the photo ranking challenge and following commitment ceremony. Ashleigh is a Taurus. These people’s patience and loyalty make them peak material for long term relationships. A Taurus might find it draining to keep up with the extroverted energy of a Gemini, though.
Billy and Sierah

This is a pairing written in the stars. In theory, anyway. Billy and Sierah are both water signs. Billy is a Cancer, and Sierah is a Scorpio. People with a Cancer star sign tend to be sensitive and sympathetic – peak boyfriend material. Billy’s calm vibes should compliment Sierah’s, er, Scorpio-ness. If Sierah can let down her walls, then she and Billy have so much potential to connect on a deep level.
Carina and Paul

This couple are hitting it off on MAFS Australia so far, but their star signs tell a very different story. Carina is a Taurus, while Paul is an Aquarius. These signs just see the world in fundamentally different ways. Aquariuses crave deep connection in relationships, while Tauruses look for comfort and stability. A Taurus tends to be pragmatic and patient, while an Aquarius is usually a flakey mess who needs to constantly be learning and experiencing new things.
The main thing these signs have in common is their extreme stubbornness. Both are fixed signs – so are extra strong-willed and get frustrated by a lack of action. This does not bode well
Jacqui and Ryan

Gals, Jacqui is a Leo. Suddenly everything makes sense. Leo girlies need a partner who will worship the ground they walk in, and in return they’ll be super passionate and loving.
Ryan is a Virgo. People with these signs are sometimes less open and expressive. Virgos are detail-orientated perfectionist, who might not deal well with the fiery chaos of a Leo. It’s really not written in the stars for these two.
Jamie and Dave

This is a match made in heaven. Both Jamie and Dave are Aquariuses. Only a fellow Aquarius can fully appreciate the beauty of another Aquarius’s innate chaos. Their relationship will get really deep and meaningful really quickly. But an Aquarius couple might function better in the MAFS experiment than in the real world. They could struggle to balance their exciting new relationship with more practical problems.
Rhi and Jeff

Jeff is a Pisces, and people with these signs tend to be hopeless romantics and super affectionate. Rhi is an Aquarius, so might take a while to let her guard down. Aquarius girlies are very likely to respond to “I love you” with “Ew” unless they really trust that person. Their zodiacs suggest they might want the relationship to progress at different paces.
Another potential pitfall for their relationship is that Aquarius people will always passionately defend their principles, while Pisces people get the ick from conflict. Their different communication styles might lead to minor disagreements becoming major problems.
