Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly interested in signing two Richards Bay stars in the next transfer window.
This comes a few days after the Glamour Boys were defeated 2-0 by the Natal Rich Boys. One of the players the club is linked with is Yanela Mbuthuma. The 23-year-old forward was also amongst the scorers when Richards Bay defeated Kaizer Chiefs this past Sunday at the King Zwelithini Stadium.
According to Soccer Laduma, Amakhosi have not tabled an offer for the striker. The Soweto giants however, are believed to have enquired about Lwandile Mabuya.
“What I know is that Chiefs have been interested in Mabuya for some time now since the start of the season and now it’s believed that they are close to tabling an offer to sign the defender. No, I can’t say how much it is but it’s between the two clubs righ now and it’s up to Richards Bay to decide. But what we know is that Chiefs are interested in the defender,” a source told Soccer laduma.
Kaizer Chiefs interested in Richards Bay duo
The same publication said Richards Bay could do a swap with Chiefs end of the season.
“From what we understand, there could be a player exchange between the two clubs (for Mabuya), mainly Mduduzi Mdantsane. Yes, Sabelo Radebe could also stay but that could be decided when everything is settled and agreed upon. Now they have to consider the offer Chiefs have tabled Rest then the rest (can happen) including a player exchange could follow,” said the second source.
Kaizer Chiefs are in action later this month against Golden Arrows.
