The world’s safest countries revealed
The world’s safest countries to visit in 2025 have been revealed, with a tiny nation in Europe earning the top spot.
According to Daily Mail, a 2025 study by Numbeo has ranked 147 countries across the globe using a safety index, which assessed the overall level of crime in a country.
The safety index consisted of survey responses about how safe residents and visitors feel while walking during the day and night, as well as reports of violent crimes, homicide, muggings, robbery, sexual and physical offences, harassment, discrimination, burglary and more.
Countries were then given a score or rating out of 100 for their safety.
As per this list, the small European territory of Andorra claimed the top spot, with a high score of 84.7 out of 100.
Coming in second on the list was the United Arab Emirates, with a score of 84.5, followed by Qatar with a score of 84.2.
For those wondering where South Africa ranked, our beautiful country scored a dismal 25.3 on the safety index, making it one of the most dangerous places to visit in 2025.
