A woman convicted of killing and dismembering her lover attacked her own lawyer while in court and created a chaotic scene – for the second time.
Taylor Schabusiness, 27, sat next to her lawyer, Paul Julka, during her preliminary hearing on Friday morning and stared at him and furrowed her brows as he spoke.
Seconds later, she got up out of her chair and screamed and lunged at him, video footage obtained by Court TV shows.
Immediately, a court deputy intercepted her tackle and knocked her to the ground. A loud noise sounded from the impact and four other deputies rushed to the floor to hold Schabusiness down.

Julka remained seated at a table calmly and threw both hands up in reaction to the unexpected turn of events.
Schabusiness was removed from the courtroom in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, and the hearing resumed shortly afterward with her appearing on Zoom.
Judge Anthony Nehls said that Schabusiness with her action ‘waived her right to be present’.
Julka asked to withdraw from the case due to the attack, and the judge said he could do so after the hearing.

Schabusiness was convicted of strangling Shad Thyrion, 25, during sex while she was on meth in 2022. She chopped up his body and spread the parts around a home and a vehicle and left his severed head in a bucket in the basement.
Friday was not the first time that Schabusiness jumped at a lawyer.
In February 2023 during her murder trial, Schabusiness suddenly struck her then-lawyer, Quinn Jolly, with both of her arms while handcuffed. A court guard wrestled her to the ground, and she appeared calm on the floor moments later.

Jolly said he would file a motion to remove himself from representing her.
Similarly, Julka removed himself and records showed that Schabusiness has been assigned a new attorney, Christopher Froelich.
A jury previously rejected Schabusiness’ insanity plea. Schabusiness was back in court for allegedly attacking a prison guard earlier this year.
