Khanyi Mbau’s face has become a trending topic on social media again after she made a public appearance over the weekend.
The reality TV star and socialite – who is based in Dubai – attended Netflix’s Meet The Khumalos premiere in South Africa.
KHANYI MBAU’S FACE GOES VIRAL
On the X app, Khanyi Mbau’s new-look face quickly went viral for all the wrong reasons.
The 39-year-old sported a stylish embellished suit dress with matching accessories. However, it was her unrecognisable face that had internet users talking.
“She looks scary,” posted one X user, while another added: “the first black person to look Chinese.
A third did not hold back. “She has a permanent surprise look mixed with eating a lemon.”
Last year, Khanyi Mbau underwent extensive facial plastic surgery, which included a fox eye and lip lift and an upper blepharoplasty.
Khanyi has also had other aesthetic work done, which includes:
- Breast augmentation
- Nose job
- Liposuction and body sculpting
- Fillers and botox
- Skin lightening
- Veneers and surgery to “push back” her gums.
- Hair implants
‘YOUTHFUL’
Last year, the Young, Famous & African star revealed that the aim of her plastic surgery was to achieve a face that had been “filtered and face tuned in real-time.”
Despite the lengthy recovery, which included painful swelling and bruising, Khanyi Mbau was happy with the results.
She shared in an Instagram Story at the time: “I always used filters and face tune to achieve this look, now I look this way.
“It’s still going to get better as the skin tightens even more and the face takes its full shape. I lost a few years off my face.”
She added that she was excited about her “youthful” features.
