Katy Perry reveals the two spooky signs that proved she was destined to go to space

Katy Perry went to space today. Yes, THE Katy Perry, and she got two weird signs in the days leading up to the mission that confirmed it was the right thing to do.

She blasted off on Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin rocket alongside the billionaire’s wife, broadcaster Gayle King, rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, civil rights activist Amanda Nguyen and film producer Kerianne Flynn.

It was the first all-female trip to space since a solo Soviet mission in 1963, and the whole flight only took seven minutes, just passing the internationally recognised altitude for where space begins.

Speaking on Instagram yesterday, the Firework singer revealed that she knew she was destined to go after she found out the name on the rocket and a symbol on the outside have a crazy connection to her life.

“I think if you know me, you know that I’m always looking for little confirmations from the heavens, from my guides, from my angels, from my higher self,” she said.

“So when I was invited to come on this voyage, I looked up the capsule and on the very front of it is the outline in the shape of a feather and when I saw that it was like a total confirmation because my mom has always called me feather.”

However, that’s not the only spooky sign she got. When she was in training for the flight, they then told her the name of the capsule they would be flying in, and that’s where things got even weirder.

“We’re almost finished with the day and they show us the capsule… and they tell us the capsule name, and the capsule’s name is Tortoise,” she explained.

“A wave, just the most energetic wave, shot through my body, and I was like ‘What? This capsule’s name is Tortoise? My mum calls me two nicknames. Feather and tortoise.”

“What are the chances that I’m going to space on a rocket, in a capsule, with my symbol the feather, called Tortoise,” she continued.

The singer even shared two screenshots of messages from her mum to prove that she does call her those nicknames, and she’s not lying.

Katy added: “There are no coincidences and I am just so grateful for these confirmations and so grateful that I feel like something bigger than me is steering the ship.”

The universe was telling her to go!
