Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe will make a late call on the fitness of Alexander Isak ahead of the trip to Leicester City in the Premier League on Monday night.
The Swedish striker has a minor groin problem which he picked up in the 2-1 win over Brentford last time out.
The 25-year-old opened the scoring at St James’ Park just before half-time but was forced off on 66 minutes after suffering the groin issue.
The Magpies are chasing a return to the Champions League, with a win on Monday evening at Leicester able to take them up to fifth in the table.
The manager will want his top scorer involved, but was coy on whether he will be or not when he spoke in his pre-match press conference.
Facing the media on Friday morning, Howe said a final decision had not yet been made on Isak and the attacker would be assessed by Newcastle’s medical team over the coming days.
Asked for an update on Isak and Kieran Trippier’s groin injuries, Howe told reporters: ‘Wait and see today, really. Of course, I had medical updates yesterday but I will see them for first time today.

‘Hopefully they are feeling okay.
‘I don’t think we have any big injuries from Wednesday night, but we have certainly got a few niggles so let’s wait and see.’
Anthony Gordon is another Newcastle star who is struggling with an injury issue, dealing with a knock.
Asked if Gordon had been able to take part in full training by Friday, Howe replied: ‘He hasn’t yet. It’s another one we’re monitoring.

‘We think he’s still recovering from a really bad knock he got for England and he’s still got huge bruising on his leg.
‘He’s done individual training. He’s not done group training. He’s still not feeling 100 per cent pain free so, again, let’s wait and see.’
Joelinton has an ongoing knee issue, but is expected to be involved. Lewis Hall, Jamaal Lascelles and Sven Botman all remain sidelined.
Newcastle go into the clash with the Foxes in seventh but with two games in hand on their rivals in the race for European football.
Victory at the King Power would see them go level on points with Chelsea in fourth but they will remain behind the Blues unless they win by seven goals.
