Arrest made in deadly hit-and-run in Aiken County

AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. (WJBF) – An arrest has been made following a deadly hit-and-run in Aiken County.

Troopers say it happened Friday evening on SC 421 near Langley Street, about a mile from Burnettown. Faith Williams, 14, of Warrenville, was a passenger on a dirt bike that hit a mailbox and spilled onto the road. An unknown vehicle may have struck her, damaged its front passenger side, and fled.

Williams was pronounced dead at the scene.

An autopsy will be done in Newberry to determine if Williams’ injuries were caused by the initial crash or being struck by the vehicle.

Investigators tell us Terry Sizemore turned himself in just after midnight at the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office. He is charged with Hit & Run with Death.
