THOMSON, Ga. (WJBF) – An arrest has been made in the Murder of a Thomson man.
The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Jantez Willie Durden is that man accused of shooting and killing Alvin Rivers.
Rivers was shot on February 18th in the parking lot of the gas station of 2061 on Gordon Highway, and later died on the 21st.
He was remembered on social media as a dancer.
Durden was arrested on the 18th for Aggravated Assault, but his charges have since been upgraded to Murder.
He remains in the Richmond County Jail.
