AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – The Augusta Commission has decided to opt out of the homestead exemption.
Commissioners were scheduled on Tuesday to decide whether to opt in or out of the floating homestead exemption, which ties property values to the rate of inflation in order to keep property taxes in check.
