MAFS series branded ‘wildest in the WORLD’ gets UK launch date – with savage leaked texts and shock wife swap

MARRIED At First Sight fans are in for a treat – as the ‘wildest series in the WORLD’ is heading to our shores.

Brits can tune in to the highly dramatic MAFS series next month and will find their jaws dropping in show.

The 2025 series of MAFS Australia features cheating scandals, a wife swap and a groom who ditched his bride because she was “too old”.

Fans will also be horrified to see another “deflated” man dismiss his match before their honeymoon because she was not “petite”.

The 12th season of Married At First Sight Australia kicked off Down Under last month and fans have already been on a wild ride.

The grooms in particular have raised plenty of eyebrows with their treatment towards their brides.

Eliot Donovan, 35, quit the show after just one episode as he believed his new wife, Lauren Hall, was “too old” at 37.

The business owner, who described himself as a “catch”, complained: “There was definitely things on my non-negotiables, right?’

“I wanted someone that was younger than me, preferably someone under 30.”

In a brutal blow, he told his new wife: “There’s just some things that I know I’m not willing to compromise on.”

Eliot packed his bags and left.

Incredibly, however, the confident groom later reappeared on set for a dinner party and even shocked the crew.

By this point, Lauren had been matched up with a new, standby groom called Clint Rice.

Elsewhere, Tim Gromie came massively under fire from furious Aussie fans for his cruel words about bride Katie Johnstone.

Katie, who had opened up to the experts about her ordeal of being body-shamed by an ex partner, was dumped by Tim before they even made it to the honeymoon.

During the wedding reception, he pulled a producer aside and said: “Totally not what I wanted. Not good.

“I normally go for short, petite, blonde or brunette. Katie’s nothing like what I usually go for. There’s just no attraction. I can tell straight away.”

He then told her off camera that they wouldn’t be going any further in the experiment.

The wrath of furious women could be felt across Australia, with many branding him “no oil painting” himself.

Heartbroken Katie, meanwhile, cried to the cameras: “To be rejected that’s my worst nightmare.

“I don’t know what I’ve done wrong, why this keeps happening. I feel humiliated.”

Mafs couples that have stood the test of time

Loved-up Tayah Victoria and Adam Aveling of series six fame had the first Mafs baby.

The pair couldn’t keep their hands off each other on the programme and quickly found their feet in the outside world, moving into Adam’s Doncaster home.

Just 18 months after meeting, the couple welcomed their daughter Beau.

Season five couple Michelle Walder and Owen Jenkins also managed to make their marriage work away from the cameras and had their first child in December.

Teacher Michelle, 29, has no regrets about taking part in the experiment. She told us: “I just feel very lucky and thankful that it has worked out – and excited for everything to come.”

Michelle and Owen were both sick of dating apps when they applied in 2019.

Owen recalled: “I had been out for some drinks with a friend after work.

“While he was out for a cigarette I was scrolling on Instagram waiting for him to come back in.

“The MAFS advert was the last thing I saw, and I joked, ‘Wouldn’t it be funny if I signed up?’

“A few beers later when I was back at home I sent in the application, and the rest is history.”

Another couple to make Mafs UK history is Zoe Clifton and Jenna Robinson.

Despite a slight rocky start, where they clashed over Jenna’s vegan lifestyle, the show’s first same sex pairing are still going strong.

They even have a successful podcast together called Life With a Pod.

Jenna shed light on being involved in the show earlier this year when she told us: “We’re not legally married, and I never felt like we were. I definitely feel the process makes you take the relationship a lot more seriously and having the help of the experts… if you can survive that process it sets a firm foundation for a long-lasting relationship.”

This, however, can be outdone by MAFS Australia groom Jake Luik.

He has since been accused of sending his mates some vile messages about his wife Ashleigh Ackerman in a group chat.

Jake is claimed to have described Ashleigh as “the fat f***”, with his friend replying: “Oh yeah, the real fat f***. You got given a dud.”

There is also wild cheating and partner swaps for MAFS fans to get stuck into, too.

The series was thrown into chaos after it was reported that bride Jacqui Burfoot had dumped her groom Ryan Donnelly and relocated to Tasmania – with Clint, Lauren’s second groom.

According to Daily Mail Australia, the partner switch left Ryan “blind-sided” and it all came out publicly BEFORE Clint and Lauren’s wedding story had even aired.

A source told the outlet: “Producers are furious. This completely ruins Clint and Lauren’s wedding episode.

“Viewers haven’t even seen them get married yet, and now they already know Clint ends up with Jacqui.”

  • Married at First Sight Australia starts Monday March 3 at 9pm on E4. Stream on Channel 4.

Bart O’Connor has been dubbed “Bart the Dart”, thanks to his unusual persona in the wrestling ring.

The professional wrestler, who made his ring debut last week, dons a darts shirt during his walk-on and even comes out to iconic darts tune Chase The Sun.

While he is also introduced as coming from Alexandra Palace.

In a nod to darts sensation Littler, O’Connor has been described as a “17-year-old prodigy” despite his age being listed at 35 on a number of wrestling websites.

His unusual gimmick has already caught the eye of wrestling fans who welcomed him to the ring with 180 signs during his debut Riot Cabaret Pro Wrestling match.

While fans online can’t believe what they’re seeing, taking to social media to react.

One wrote: “Darts has finally made it”.

While another added: “This is incredible”.

A third joked: “Luke littler, Ethan Nwaneri and Bart the dart. We are truly blessed”.

And a fourth pleaded: “Where do I watch this fight?!”

Littler, 18, has had a meteoric rise to fame in darts since he burst onto the scene at the 2024 World Darts Championship.

Since then he has pocketed well over £1million in prize money and was crowned world champ on his second attempt at Ally Pally last month.

The teenage superstar may just become aware of the unusual similarities between himself and O’Connor soon too.

That’s because Littler is a huge wrestling fan.

The world number two tungsten thrower visited the WWE HQ during his trip to New York for the US Darts Masters last year.

And he has even revealed that his walkout song – Green Light by Pitbull – was inspired by a trip to watch Wrestlemania with his dad in Florida.

He said: “Me and my dad went to Wrestlemania 33, seven years ago now, it was in Florida, Orlando.

“It was my first time being there. It was a good song, I was singing my head off as a ten years old.

“I thought that if I did make it – I was playing football at the time a little bit – then that would be my walk-on.”

‘I don’t know if I’m allowed to say this’ – Darts star reveals Dave Chisnall was ‘out of control’ on boozy night out

DARTS star Jeffrey de Zwaan has revealed what happened during his boozy night out with Dave Chisnall.

The Dutchman once enjoyed a night out with Chizzy while on the Pro Tour.

A darts player has revealed what happened during his night out with Dave Chisnall[/caption]

But he admitted the 44-year-old got “out of control” after some drinks.

Speaking on the Darts Draait Door podcast, De Zwaan said: “I don’t know if I’m allowed to say this…

“At the Pro Tour in Barnsley you have a pool centre. We were having a nice drink there after the tournament and at one point Chisnall was just out of control.”

However, the alcohol didn’t seem to impact Chisnall’s performance on the Pro Tour the following day.

De Zwaan continued: “I see him walking and he just wins the tournament. He was just fit, nothing wrong. Bizarrely good level.”

Podcast co-host Vincent Van der Voort was not surprised by the revelation in the slightest.

He added: “He can do that!”

Chisnall hit out at the Premier League Darts selection last month after missing out on a place.

JOIN SUN VEGAS: GET £50 BONUS

He said: “The Premier League line-up was hardly surprising this week, but you’d have to be gutted if you were someone like a Mike de Decker or Damon Heta.

“I never expected to get a phone call – despite being World No.6 – because of how poor I’ve been on TV this year.

“But Mike can feel let down after his great run at The Grand Prix. Maybe being No.24 in the world counted against him.

Nathan and Gerwyn can both feel a bit lucky in my opinion to be involved this year.

“Gezzy has had a lot going and struggled in 2024, whilst Nathan has done similarly.

“His run to the quarter-finals of the Worlds probably got him involved, that and everyone loving his Mr Brightside theme song.

“It’s a great entrance, but it should be about the darts, and not your walk-on that gets you involved in these big competitions.

“Nothing against them personally, as both great lads and get on well with, but it should be about your actions on the dartboard, not on a song and a dance.

“Damo [Heta] is another who I think can feel unlucky, whilst it’s good to see Chris Dobey and Steven Bunting rewarded with a spot.

“It seems like something of a changing of the guard with no Michael Smith and no Peter Wright.”

Rangers at centre of advanced talks over stunning San Francisco 49ers takeover

SAN FRANCISCO 49ers chief Paraag Marathe is part of a US-led Rangers takeover bid.

The NFL supremo is involved in a consortium hoping to take control of the Ibrox club.

Leeds United chairman Marathe and fellow US business figures have held detailed talks with the Gers hierarchy in recent months.

SunSport understands current board member, the American John Halsted, has been a prominent figure in bringing potential investors to the table.

And this could lead to the 49ers being part of a major multi-million pound investment – should a deal be struck.

Ibrox sources insist there are still plenty of hurdles to overcome as high-level discussions continue.

But there is hope that an agreement can be reached with the US investors to kick off a new era at Gers.

The consortium see huge potential in the Ibrox club, with possible access to the Champions League a reward for domestic success.

They also view Scottish football as a prime environment to bring in young talent and adopt a successful player-trading model.

Marathe heads up the 49ers Enterprises arm – which seeks to ‘oversee outside business ventures, advisory efforts, and major investment opportunities for the club’.

He is also Executive VP of Football Operations for the NFL giants.

Marathe orchestrated the 49ers’ takeover of Leeds in 2023 after years of investment and is driving their bid for Premier League promotion.

Under existing SFA dual ownership rules, this is set to limit the 49ers’ ability to snap up a Gers shareholding of over 29.9 per cent.

However, there are other US investors keen to plunge money into Gers as part of a wider consortium.

These figures believe Marathe’s experience of British football can be of huge significance as part of a potential deal to revive Rangers.

And the 49ers – bankrolled by the York family – could extend their portfolio by investing in the Ibrox giants.

Speaking at the club’s AGM last year, interim chairman John Gilligan made it clear that Rangers were open to a cash injection.

The Ibrox club are currently strapped for cash after posting a £17.2million loss last year.

Boss Philippe Clement was limited to just one loan signing in January, with runaway league leaders Celtic favourites to complete another Treble.

“The current investors have invested considerably over the years and are willing to do so again.

“We are open to anyone who approaches us on investment.

“We get approaches from all over the world from various sources.

“But it has to be the right people and the right conditions and for the right amount of shares.

“We don’t want one person owning the club.”

Rangers’ current shareholding group is varied – with former chairman Dave King still owning around 13 per cent.

Douglas Park, George Taylor, Stuart Gibson and John Bennett also have a significant amount of shares.

It’s believed several of them would be willing to cut a deal for the right price, if they felt it was in the best interests of the club.

The Rangers board already has strong American ties, with non-executive director Alastair Johnston vice chairman of US-based IMG – a leading sports and entertainment group.

Wyoming-based Halsted became a Gers investor in 2021 through Perron Investments, LLC.

There’s been a spate of tie-ins between the US sport and British football with Tom Brady is the co-owner of a Birmingham City side which has many ex-Gers stars on the payroll in the form of Scott Wright, Ben Davies and Kieran Dowell.

JJ Watt is a minority investor in a Burnley side which currently sits third in the EFL Championship table.

‘Absolutely stupid’ fume eBay users as millions of iPhones and Androids blocked from using app in shock update

EBAY has killed off support for its app on millions of iPhones and Androids.

Bosses behind the hit shopping app confirmed the axing as baffled users began complaining that it had stopped working on their phones.

Apple’s iPhone X is one of the phones losing support for the eBay app[/caption]

Now anyone with a phone that doesn’t support the eBay app will be forced to use the website instead.

eBay revealed the exact phone versions that will now miss out on the app.

Unsurprisingly, some eBay fans reacted poorly to the news.

Writing on Reddit, one user said: “I found a way around it, bought from Amazon instead.

“What an absolutely stupid ‘update’ from eBay, effectively blocking about 20% of users from the app. Can’t use the app, and can’t update it.

“Website version of eBay performs poorly on iPhone, and keeps re-opening the app. Fed up of it, so bought on Amazon.”

eBay’s announcement was delivered to app users in an email.

It warned that you’d need to update the app for eBay to work properly.

And it added that some devices simply wouldn’t be able to update at all.

“Over the last week, you might have had an issue if you tried to access your app,” eBay explained.

“We regularly update our app with new features and improvements, to provide you with the simplest and most secure experience when shopping and selling via your mobile device.

“It’s important that the eBay app is compatible with the latest operating systems, as they bring important security features, bug fixes, and help protect your information.

“As part of our latest update, eBay app versions 6.191 and older (which are compatible with operating systems earlier than iOS 16 and Android 10) are no longer support.”

eBay added: “we’re sorry if this has caused you any inconvenience.”

The company noted that if your phone is no longer supported, you’ll need to use the eBay website instead.

In the alert, eBay warned that anyone with an iPhone running iOS 16 or earlier would need to update their phone’s software.

You can do that by going into Settings > General > Software Update.

Sadly, it means that millions of iPhones have lost support for the official eBay app.

But if you have an older iPhone that’s not on this list, you won’t ever be able to use the eBay app again.

For instance, that includes 2017’s popular iPhone X model, which was the first to feature the Face ID scanner.

Instead you’ll need to either use the website or upgrade to a newer iPhone model.

It’s a similar story for Android phone owners, who will need models that can update to Android 10.0 or later.

There are too many Android phone models to list.

It’s beyond annoying. My phone may be old but it’s really good.

eBay uservia Reddit

But you can check your phone’s Android version by going to Settings > About Phone > Android Version.

And you can download the latest software by going to Settings > System > Software Update.

If you can’t get at least Android 10 then the eBay app won’t be supported for your device.

Other eBay fans revealed their disappointment with the move.

One user writing on Reddit complained about the potential cost of the change: “It’s beyond annoying. My phone may be old but it’s really good and I don’t want the expense of an upgrade right now. Fuming!”

And another moaned: “What a headache!

Anne Marie pregnant with second child with husband Slowthai – just months after he’s found not guilty of rape

ANNE Marie has announced she is pregnant with her second child with husband Slowthai.

The singer shared the news this evening – just months after the rapper was found not guilty of raping two fans on roof of house party after a gig.

The 33-year-old posted a video of herself singing along to her her song Don’t Panic – and then revealing her bump.

She sang: “Baby, please don’t panic. Nothing’s gonna happen. Please don’t panic. You’ll only cause more damage. You give yourself a heart attack. Oh, every time you think like that.”

Anne Marie captioned the video “surprise”, as her fans rushed to congratulate her.

The former Voice UK judge welcomed her daughter with Slowthai in February last year.

The couple have just celebrated their daughter – Seven’s – first birthday.

Anne-Marie and Slowthai – real name Tyron Kaymone – secretly married in Las Vegas in the summer of 2022.

Anne Marie was by partner’s side throughout his trial at Oxford Crown Court last year.

Slowthai was charged with raping two female fans at a house party after a gig in 2021.

The Grammy-nominated artist was accused of isolating the fans after instigating a “no phones and no boys” rule.

But the rapper, 29, and his co-accused Alex Blake-Walker, 27, were cleared of three counts of rape on December 16.

He burst into tears as the verdict was delivered, while wife Anne-Marie sighed with relief.

Anne Marie later broke her silence about the difficult time and wrote:  “2024 the most beautiful yet hardest year of our lives. God really tryina see how strong I am hahaha.

“I miss you all and I love you all more than you’ll ever know. I have SO MUCH for you in the new year that you’ll probably be sick of me (please don’t be) have the best break if you can and see you soon.”
