Most powerful Rolls-Royce EVER goes on sale for £320k with secret button that unlocks fighter plane-style 659bhp boost
A ROLLS-Royce inspired by the power of Spitfires has gone on sale for a staggering £320,000.
The all-electric Black Badge Spectre super-coupe is kitted out with a secret button that mimic the boost of a Second World War fighter jet.

It has been officially named as “the most powerful Rolls-Royce in history” and the motor can go from zero to 60mph in just 4.1 seconds.
The beast is £50,000 more than the standard Spectre and shaves a third off the acceleration time.
The two-door with a retro colour palette is for “rebels who refuse to conform”, according to Rolls-Royce’s website.
Inspired by the neon lights of the 80s and 90s club culture, it also comes in a Vapour Violet paint finish.
The ‘Infinity Mode’ button on the steering-wheel unlocks 659 horsepower, overshadowing to the standard Spectre’s 585 horsepower.
‘Once this mode is activated, the dials become more vibrant to match the change in the motor car’s character,’ says Rolls-Royce.
Rolls-Royce was behind the Merlin Engine, which powered the most famous World War II fighter planes – including the Spitfire, Hurricane, Mosquito, Mustang and Lancaster.
The luxury car manufacturer said: “The driver engages this function by fully depressing the brake and throttle at the same time, waiting for a haptic and visual response signalling the car is ready, before fully releasing the brake.
“This temporarily amplifies the torque (pulling power) output to a landmark 1075 Nm, unleashing a surge of force and propelling the motor car from 0-to-60mph in just 4.1 seconds.”
“Although these function are new for a Rolls-Royce motor car, they have a historical precedent.
“In aircraft powered by the legendary Rolls-Royce Merlin engine, including the Supermarine Spitfire, pilots could obtain a burst of additional power by pushing a switch on the throttle quadrant.”
This comes after a 1980s Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II was discovered hidden away in a barn.
The famous motor, which featured in a video by YouTuber Alex Kersten of Autoalex Cars, arrived at a Farringdon-based shop and was diagnosed with issues with its ignition system, distributor cap, and carburetor.
As reported by Supercar Blondie, Alex said: “Every electrical system seemed to have its own unique gremlin — it was like playing whack-a-mole with faults.
“Getting parts for a car like this is a scavenger hunt—some components are rarer than the car itself.”
But after multiple issues and a handful of attempts, Alex and his team were able to replace the components – including the seized engine, hydraulic suspension system, and braking system.
They also rebuilt the carburetor, adjusted the timing belt, and addressed electrical problems.
Seemingly, the car could now run fine – but then it failed to start at a crucial time during a classic car show, which saw them further replace the spark plugs, fuel, and repairs, before the car was able to fire up again.
Lewis, the car’s owner who also has five or six other Rolls-Royce cars, said: “I’m honestly ecstatic.”

Rock star Pete Doherty warned he may need body part amputated in terrifying battle with Type 2 diabetes
ROCKER Pete Doherty has been warned by doctors he risks having his toes amputated as he struggles with type 2 diabetes.
The Libertines star, 45, has performed from a chair for five dates of a European tour.

He told fans in Munich, Germany: “I saw the doctor today and he said you need to stay off your feet as much as you can otherwise you’ll lose your toes.”
The Can’t Stand Me Now singer had been wearing slippers or socks on stage but since Friday has been in strip-fastener orthopaedic shoes.
At a show in Cologne, his bandmate Carl Barat was photographed helping him off stage.
Earlier this month, Pete also held a walking stick at a gallery launch in Berlin.
The singer, who dated Kate Moss from 2005-7, said last year he had been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.
The condition raises the risk of serious foot problems and amputation.
Last spring he said: “I’ve been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. And at the moment, I’m lacking the discipline to tackle cholesterol.”
He is believed to be more at risk because of years of drug abuse.
He said in 2022: “I was pushing the limits. There were close calls.
“I nearly lost my feet and horrible things like that. It was very close, just because of the injecting.
“That’s what happens when you run out of veins.
“It all seems so long ago now though but it was a hell of a ride.”
In November 2023 he said years of addiction had taken their toll.
Months before his diabetes diagnosis, he told Louis Theroux: “You are looking at a very sick man. I’ve battered it, caned it.
“The heroin and crack I surrendered to that. Then it was cocaine, smoking and alcohol.
“Now it’s cheese and the saucisson, and the sugar in the tea… it’s all gotta go.
“They told me a while ago if you don’t change your diet you’re going to have diabetes and cholesterol problems. Death’s lurking.”
Diabetes UK said: “Over time raised blood sugar levels can damage the vessels that supply the nerves in your feet.
“This stops nutrients reaching the nerves. You can lose feeling — peripheral neuropathy — and damage feet without noticing.
“Blood supply to the feet is also reduced. Cuts and sores may struggle to heal. You may get cramps and pain.
“Left untreated, these problems can lead to foot ulcers, infections and, at worst, amputations.”
Pete was approached for comment.

Kyle Walker’s AC Milan loan turns into nightmare after European giants suffer disastrous Champions League exit
KYLE WALKER’s stint with AC Milan has got off to a disastrous start.
The England international joined the Italian giants in the January transfer window on loan from Manchester City.

The prospect of playing Champions League football at the iconic San Siro stadium was no doubt one of the things that attracted Walker to the move.
But just 25 days after his Milan move, the Rossoneiri are now no longer in Europe‘s elite club competition.
Milan were dumped out of the prestigious tournament thanks to a 2-1 aggregate defeat in their last-16 qualifier.
Feyenoord, who secured a stunning 3-3 draw with Walker’s parent club last year, went into the second leg leading the tie 1-0.
But Santiago Jiminez cancelled out their lead less than 60 seconds into the return leg and laid the foundations for a big comeback.
Sergio Conceicao’s troops huffed and puffed but failed to breach the vistors’ goal a second time.
And they paid the price in the 73rd minute when Julian Carranza struck to restore the visitor’s advantage and fire them into the last 16.
Walker and his Milan team-mates cut frustrated figures after the final whilst.
The visitors, on the other hand, were ecstatic with their famous progression through to the knockout stages.
It’s been a rough few days for Walker, who is currently renting a £10,000-a-week apartment in the heart of Milan.
The former Sheffield United and Spurs ace was hooked at HALF-TIME during AC Milan’s 1-0 win over Hellas Verona last weekend.
And to make matters worse, his replacement, Alex Jimenez, went on to help set up the winning goal.
Walker has made six appearances for Milan since his temporary transfer.
Milan have only won three of those matches, four of which Walker has played the full 90 minutes.
Walker and his team-mates will be back in action on Saturday evening, traveling to Turin to take on Torino.

FLOYD MAYWEATHER dreams of owning the world’s seventh-richest sports club.
Now “The Money” has launched a buy-in bid for the New York Giants that is more jaw-dropping than any knockout blow he landed in the ring.

The boxing legend, 47, is reportedly heading a group trying to purchase 10% of the NFL team… for around $700 million (£556m).
TMZ Sports say Mayweather and his business partner – real estate magnate Meyer Orbach – are preparing an offer.
It’s claimed $200m ((£159m) has already been put aside in an escrow account.
That’s an account where a neutral third party holds onto part of the money while a contract is sorted out.
US teams dominate the sporting rich list – Dallas Cowboys heading the pile with a $10.1bn valuation.
Four-time Super Bowl winners the Giants come in at $7.3bn, just behind the New York Patriots on $7.4bn.
The Stateside-led roll-call of wealth is broken below the top 10 by three of Europe’s biggest football clubs.
Real Madrid are joint 12th on $6.6bn, alongside 2025 Super Bowl winners Philadelphia Eagles.

Next come Manchester United ($6.55bn), while Barcelona are 20th on $5.6bn.
It’s reckoned five-weight ex-world champion Mayweather and Orbach could soon be joined by another major investor in their attempt to buy part of the Giants.
TMZ quote Orbach as saying: “My partners and I are always looking at different opportunities, including ownership of sports teams. I can’t comment further than that.”
He already owns nearly 20% of basketball team Minnesota Timberwolves.
The interest in the Giants follows two of the team’s owners revealing they hope to sell some of their stake.
Now John Mara, who is club founder Tim Mara’s grandson, and Steve Tisch could soon be tested by an approach from Mayweather.
And the amount involved would absolutely dwarf his other spectacular investments, such as his $20m fleet of supercars.
