Why is Curtis Jones not playing for Liverpool vs Wolves?

LIVERPOOL return to Anfield as they look to get back on their title tilt back on track against Wolves.

The Reds go into the game fresh from a dramatic Merseyside derby – the last ever played at Goodison Park – where the game concluded with a heated ending.

The topsy-turvy 2-2 draw saw the table-toppers drop points from a winning position for only the third time this season.

James Tarkowski’s blockbuster last-gasp finish in the 98th minute was met with incredible scenes at the final whistle.

A full-scale melee between the teams saw referee Michael Oliver hand out four red cards post-game.

Why is Curtis Jones not playing for Liverpool vs Wolves?

Curtis Jones was one of the main players involved in the mass brawl that broke out at the end of Wednesday night’s Merseyside derby.

He was triggered by Abdoulaye Doucoure’s on-the-whistle celebration towards the Liverpool away end and reacted angrily in the process.

Jones, who was already booked in the game, was shown a second yellow following the melee and, alongside Doucoure, was given his marching orders.

The punishment will only last one game, though, because it was a second yellow card rather than a straight red, meaning the midfielder will be back for Liverpool’s midweek game against Aston Villa.

How to watch Liverpool vs Wolves?

  • Liverpool’s clash with Wolves will be broadcast live on Sky in the UK.
  • Fans will also have the option to stream all entire action on Sky Go App and NowTV which is available to download via any compatible mobile device or tablet.
  • Alternatively, tune in to SunSport’s live blog for all the action as it happens.

I uncovered ‘murdered’ baby wrapped in twine beneath floor – cops NEED to probe vital clue to solve century-old mystery

A BUILDER who found the 100-year-old remains of a dead baby hidden under floorboards says he is still traumatised months later.

Dad-of-six David Dent, who suffers haunting flashbacks, hopes a vital clue can prove the infant’s identity so they can be finally laid to rest.

He was carrying out refurbishment work on an upstairs flat in Bishop Auckland, County Durham, last July when he made the grim discovery.

The skeletal remains of the full-term newborn had been bundled in newspaper.

Cops believe the child – whose gender is unknown – may have been killed after birth due to twine wrapped around their neck.

Detectives are currently awaiting results from carbon dating analysis on the bones to confirm the year the baby died – with the newspapers dating to 1910.

They also expect to obtain a DNA profile that could help them track down living relatives.

David said he was in shock when he unwrapped the remains after lifting up the floorboards with a colleague, who did not wish to be named.

He said he was reminded of his youngest daughter Bella as he looked at the baby before accidentally dropping it, causing its arm and hand to break off.

The 41-year-old Facetimed his wife, who advised him to call the police.

David told The Sun: “I was stood with a length of 4×2, popping these floorboards up, and we found a ball of newspaper.

“All I could see was a ribcage… We picked it up and the first my mate said was ‘urgh, what’s that there?’ I thought it must be a big pigeon.

“When I got hold of it, I looked at it and for some reason I pulled the paper off it and I’ve seen a little skull.

“When I saw that I was in a bit of shock. I half placed it, half dropped it on the floor.

“I noticed a little arm and a hand that fell off it.”

David said the skull had a full set of teeth, which he didn’t realise newborns had.

“I remember the size of it was about the same size as my daughter when she was born.

“I put him in my hand and picked him up, I was vaguely thinking about my daughter Bella, she was the exact same size.”

After Facetiming his wife Grace, he explained “she said ‘yeah, it’s a baby’ straightaway”.

David said she also spotted the two lengths of twine around the child’s neck.

“It’s been strangled, you can see that,” he added.

Describing the remains, David said: “I can’t explain, it was like dead light but looked like when you find a dead bird, it was in my left hand and I couldn’t feel the weight of it.

“It was that little and crispy. I can’t really explain the texture, it was just really thin, but I knew what it was straight away when I saw the skull.

“It was the size of my daughter’s, she was only 3lbs and that’s when it sunk in after that.”

David said he previously worked for an undertaker and has seen “bodies that have had their heads smashed in and all sorts and it never bothered me”.

“But when I found the bairn like that it affected us.”

He said the police officers who arrived said “you need to stop what you’re doing and get out, that was the attitude”.

“I said I’m sorry but I’ve just witnessed something there that I’ve never witnessed before in my life, that I wasn’t expecting.

“I went downstairs and all my mouth was dry and I thought I’m going to need a can of pop or something here.

“[An officer] said you’re going nowhere. It’s a murder scene, that type of thing.”

David said he was held at the scene for a couple of hours and later had to give a statement to the police.

He added: “The CID guys said just keep it to yourself. Obviously, I told my wife about it.

“It wasn’t until the next day, the Tuesday, when I was driving my van back home and they said on the radio it was an actual baby that they’d found, and I had to pull over because it caught me off guard.”

He said PTSD from the incident is still with him and he is disappointed that police haven’t kept him in the loop about developments like they promised.

“I’ve not been too bad these last couple of months,” explained David.

“When I get a decent drink on the weekend when I’m out with the lads and that, it’s weird, it just gets like flashed back.

“I think about how anyone could do that to a baby because I’ve got six kids of my own.”

He added: “Hopefully the baby can be put to rest, with a bit of luck they’ll find its relatives.”

Detectives from Durham Constabulary are attempting to trace historic records for the property between 1900 and 1920 as part of efforts to identify who lived there at that time.

Due to the twine wrapped around the baby’s neck, cops are treating the death as suspicious.

The property dates to the Victorian period and at one stage housed a church-run mother and baby unit, although it is believed that the baby was concealed before that time.

Detective Chief Inspector Mel Sutherland, from Durham Constabulary, said in August last year: “The evidence suggests this has happened a very long time ago, which makes investigating the circumstances extremely difficult, but we still have a duty to that baby.

“My focus is on finding out who the baby is, what happened and how it came to be under the floorboards of that house.

“As soon as we are able to, I am determined that this little baby is given an appropriate and dignified funeral.”

It comes after reports last year suggested a spinster who worked in a café and pie shop that used to be below the flat may have been the baby’s mum.

According to research done by the Daily Mail, the name Mary Jane Walker stands out as a potential prime suspect.

She was aged 22, single and the only woman of child-bearing age living at the property – 67 Fore Bondgate – when the 1911 census was carried out.

She was listed as a “domestic” and “servant” – though until scientific evidence reveals a connection, Ms Walker’s link to the child is just speculation.

Ms Walker remained at the property for more than half a century and there is no record of her ever marrying.

At the time, it would’ve been considered shameful to fall pregnant while unmarried and in many circumstances women had no option but to hide pregnancies.

David said: “The last I heard was the reports about Mary Jane Walker maybe being the mother, in the Mail. I haven’t heard anything from the police.

“I hope they can find out who the baby was and what happened.”

The Sun has contacted Durham Police for more information.

If you have any information about 67 Fore Bondgate, phone 101 and quote incident number DHM-29072024-0127.

Inside Gino D’Acampo’s nepo baby sons’ glam lives – from dates with Strictly stars to luxury holidays

WHEN he’s not filming TV shows or cooking in the kitchen, Gino D’Acampo dotes on his three children – Luciano, 23, Rocco, 20, and Mia, 13.

The celebrity chef, 48, who is currently under fire after dozens of complaints of inappropriate behaviour have been levelled at him by former colleagues, hasn’t sheltered his kids from the limelight.

Three years ago he roped them in for the ITV series Gino’s Italian Family Adventure as they took a culinary tour around his homeland.

Thanks to Gino’s fame and fortune, the kids have enjoyed a privileged upbringing that has seen them go on luxury getaways and money can’t buy experiences.

Though none are particularly active on social media anymore, a quick glimpse at their profiles shows trips to the dunes of a Middle Eastern desert, Italian ski resorts, the green hills of Tanzania and rustic Croatia.

Back in 2019, around the same time Gino was filming with Fred Sirieix and Gordon Ramsay, Luciano began dating Gordon’s daughter Tilly, much to the fiery chef’s chagrin.

It caused a degree of tension with Gino saying on This Morning: “It’s a great pleasure to know that my son is dating Gordon’s daughter. Just to annoy him, just to really annoy him.”

The romance was revealed on an episode of Gordon, Gino and Fred: Road Trip.

Gino was FaceTiming his son, Luciano as he drove through Mexico, before Luciano revealed he was with Tilly.

Ramsay was quick to react, and it was true to character, grilling his daughter, “What the hell? Tilly! What are you doing, Matilda?!”

Gordon joked that Tilly could end up having Gino as a father-in-law and later, on an appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show, said it was a “f***ing nightmare”.

Fortunately for Gordon, it never blossomed into anything serious and not long after Tilly went official with her then boyfriend, Seth Mack.

Recently, Gino revealed the pulling power of his celebrity when he uploaded a picture of US pop star Sabrina Carpenter with his daughter at wife Jessica’s birthday party.

The surprise snap left his followers in awe and questioning the connection between them.

However, he now faces a fight for his television career after a host of concerning allegations about sexualised and aggressive comments.

ITV has pulled all of his shows but is under growing pressure to explain what they knew, when they knew it and why no action was taken sooner.

Gino has “firmly denied” the allegations.

Chef up to talks to ITV

By Ellie Henman

GINO D’Acampo is willing to meet ITV bosses and claims he is “100 per cent innocent”.

A source close to the star, whose career is hanging by a thread, said he had no intention of stepping back from showbiz.

They said: “He’s told family, friends and people he works with he’s done nothing to be ashamed of or worried about.”

Meanwhile, we can reveal Gino is likely to ditch plans to fly to the Caribbean for filming this month while in “crisis mode”.

TRAITORS winner Jake Brown has said his wife ‘wears the trousers’ so will be deciding how his prize money is spent, after their marriage was rocked by scandal.

Jake and Leanne said they’ve finally got their winnings[/caption]

And he ended up doing just that, alongside ex-soldier Leanne Quigley.

They split the £96,600 prize, after a whopping 7.4million people tuned in to watch last month’s finale.

And after finally receiving their huge prize fund, Jake, who appeared alongside Leanne at the TV Choice Awards, shared how he planned on spending it.

Jake, 28, told The Sun: “The most extravagant thing I think I’ve bought with it is a suit.

“I feel I don’t want to spend it yet because I’m almost scared to spend it.”

Asked whether his wife Shannon will have a say in how the money gets spent, Jake looked at Leanne.

She then said: “Of course she’ll have a say on how it’s spent.”

Jake interjected: “She has full say.”

To which Leanne went on: “Shannon wears the trousers in their relationship, absolutely.”

Jake and Shannon, 27, posed for a picture together recently, while attending a 21st birthday party thrown for fellow Traitors star Freddie Fraser.

The couple were all smiles in the snap and Jake shared it with his 50,000 followers on Instagram.

The new picture of Jake and Shannon came just hours after The Sun On Sunday exclusively revealed their marriage had hit a rocky patch last year.

Shannon confronted her husband shortly after their wedding when he grew close to a female colleague.

Jake, a project manager, and the woman are said to have hit it off at a work party two months after he had tied the knot.

The workmates grew close over five months and comforted each other as they both battled problems at home.

But his new wife Shannon grew suspicious and ordered him to end the friendship.

A source said: “She wasn’t happy, and confronted Jake. She told him it had to stop.”

The pair, who both work for the same company in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria, hit it off at an early Christmas party in November 2023.

Shannon and Jake have been together since 2015 and married on September 15, 2023, at the Daffodil Hotel & Spa in Grasmere.

But according to friends the couple soon endured a “rocky patch”.

Jake’s 24-year-old work pal, who The Sun decided not to name, had bought a house with her boyfriend of three years, but was also having relationship difficulties.

A source said: “Jake had become close to this woman and they were hanging out.

“They confided in each other. They’d meet up and lean on each other for comfort and support. But the longer it went on, Shannon grew suspicious of the friendship.”

How does The Traitors work and who hosts it?

The Traitors first launched in the UK in 2022, after the Dutch format was acquired by the BBC.

Claudia Winkleman is the show’s host, and has now hosted all three series to date.

How does it work?

It is a reality game show that involves 22 contestants, and some of them are chosen to be The Traitors.

The Traitors sees a group of contestants taking part in “the ultimate game of truth and deception”.

The group of contestants are competing for the chance to walk away with a huge cash prize.

While navigating through a series of challenges, the team are also tasked with figuring out who the Traitors are in the group (usually three contestants).

Each night, the Traitors gather to “eliminate” one of the Faithful, removing them from the competition

Meanwhile, the traitors can be “banished” if they’re successfully outed as a traitor by a faithful.

The winners of the show are either the Traitor who remains undetected or the Faithfuls if they successfully eliminate all the Traitors.

The prize sees the winner could get £120K.

As well as this, Khloe revealed her beauty advice to stay looking youthful[/caption]

Speaking to The Sunday Times, the mum-of-two, who was recently involved in the ‘most awkward 10 minutes of TV ever’, also shared her top beauty advice to prevent ageing.

So if you want to look as stylish and youthful as Khloe, then you’ve come to the right place.

When it comes to the beauty advice she would give to her teenage self, Khloe simply shared: “Wear sunscreen as much as you can. I wear it religiously now, especially on my hands.

“Your hands and neck tell your age so you’ve got to take care of them. Your face, you can fix!”

Not only is sun cream a staple in her beauty bag, but she also revealed the one thing she wouldn’t be without for the school run.

The brunette beauty claimed: “The only consistent thing is my new XO Khloe fragrance, which I wear day to night. I never mix scents, I’m very loyal.”

Khloe, who describes her style as “modernly sexy”, expressed that she loves mixing up and “playing different characters” through her fashion.

When asked what made her fall in love with styling, Khloe recognised that her grandmothers, as well as her mum, played a huge part.

She confessed: “Both of my grandmothers and my mum were always so chic. I have never seen either of my grandmothers with a hair out of place.

“My dad’s mum had such exquisite jewellery and was always put-together, and my mum’s mum, MJ, owned a boutique and always looked fabulous and presentable.”

Not only this, but she explained why tracksuit bottoms are out for her in 2025, as she continued: “My mum won’t leave home without looking perfect.

“She gets mad at me if I’ve rolled out of the house in baggy sweats. She’ll just look me up and down.”

Don’t follow the trends. March to the beat of your own drum

Khloe Kardashian

Whilst Kris Jenner, 69, is a huge fashion inspiration for this star, she also used to steal T-shirts from her sister’s, Kim and Kourtney’s wardrobes.

Despite this, she admitted: “I couldn’t fit into their other clothes, but they would steal each other’s all the time. I’d watch those fights.”

Hottest fashion trends of 2025

Fabulous’ Fashion Editor Clemmie Fieldsend has shared the biggest trends from the high street.

The East/West Bag

Baguette bags have had a good run, after returning from the 90s shoulders of Sarah Jessica Parker to modern fashion icons like Hailey Bieber.

In 2025, the East/West bag is a similar but elongated shape and has long, thin straps that are easy to throw over your shoulders.

They’ve been on runway models’ arms at nearly ever designer’s shows – think Burberry, Givenchy and Bottega Veneta – and are hitting the high street now, too.

Powder pink

Bright fuchsia pink had its day after the release of the Barbie film in 2023 and didn’t appear last year – and now the more polished and expensive looking pale shade is taking over for 2025.

Pantone may say that it’s the year of Mocha Mousse, but the catwalks say otherwise! From Prada to Erdem, the subtle look was all over the spring/summer catwalks, worn head-to-toe or on its own.

If the sugary shade is too girly for you, then look to sharp suiting for a androgynous take on the colour.

The shell jacket

The 80s classic is back, but with a sleek and minimal new twist for 2025.

We all know that for most of spring we’re likely to see rain, and your practical coat of choice should be a cagoule jacket.

Depop revealed one of its big trend predictions for this year is retro sportswear, with surges already seen in ‘80s windbreakers’.

Seen everywhere from the stylish streets of Copenhagen to the Miu Miu catwalk, now mums who have an emergency raincoat crumpled underneath their pushchair are very much in fashion!

The turn-up jeans

Whilst jeans shape remains the same for this year and barrel-legs are still going to be seen everywhere, the way we’re styling them is different.

This season, transform your wide-leg, baggy denims into turn-ups.

And for this look, size doesn’t matter, so while deep turn-ups are a hit from jean trend-leaders Citizens of Humanity, a slight fold is still just as good – but only as it’s just one single fold.

Peep-toe shoe

Get your pedicures booked in sharpish, as this season your toes are the main event.

After a long hiatus, the peep-toe has been welcomed back into the fashion fold, with brands like Hermes, Miu Miu and Tory Burch showing plain and embellished footwear all with the tiny hole.

From mules to pumps and clogs (yes clogs will be around too!), there are lots of different styles that are set to sweep the high street, but they will all have peep-toe.

Sheer blouses

See-through looks have always lived on the catwalk, but have rarely filtered into everyday life – until now.

Designers Ralph Lauren and Tom Ford loved sheer looks on their SS25 catwalks and M&S even had sellout success with its black sheer pencil skirt last season.

Expect to see more sheer looks lining supermarket aisles and high street shops in the form of skirts, tops and frocks.

Khloe also stressed her top fashion advice, as she beamed: “Don’t follow the trends. March to the beat of your own drum.”

And when it comes to her eldest nieces, Penelope Disick, 12, and North West, 11, Khloe claimed that she is ‘proud’ that they don’t want to wear ‘provocative things’.

Instead, she highlighted: “They’re into their Billie Eilish baggy clothes and I love that confidence in them.”

‘The worst thing you can say as a referee’ – ‘Voice of Darts’ Russ Bray agrees with Luke Littler on crowd trouble

LEGENDARY darts referee Russ Bray has weighed in on the crowd trouble during Night Two of the Premier League in Glasgow on Thursday night.

Darts fans in the OVO Hydro were criticised for whistling throughout the evening and even saw intervention from referee Kirk Bevins when things got loud during the final between Luke Littler and Luke Humphries.

Luke Littler claimed Bevins made matters worse with his interjection to quieten the crowd[/caption]

Bevins told the Scottish fans to “stop whistling!” in an effort to sort things out, but unfortunately saw his attempt at calming the crowd lead to even more noise.

Littler, who won the final 6-5 to take home the nightly victory, hit out at referee Bevins for “making it worse”.

Speaking after the victory he said: “Obviously, there were a few in particular that were doing it when Luke was throwing. Then when Kirk told them to be quiet, it got even worse. And then I missed doubles.”

Adding: “But I think it’s best off if they don’t whistle at us. We just want to play our darts.”

Now iconic darts ref Russ Bray, who was coined ‘The Voice of Darts’, has agreed with the 18-year-old’s sentiment, claiming telling the crowd to stop whistling is “the worst thing you can say”.

He told The Express: “The worst thing you can say as a referee is, ‘ladies and gentleman, please don’t whistle’, because all the idiots will start whistling. That’s the mentality of them.

“All you can say is say, ‘ladies and gentlemen, please give the best of order’. Then it’s up to the security to do something about it, to get those idiots out.

“We don’t need them in there, it drives you nuts. It’s a thorn in the side of the game, for sure.

“How you police it, it’s very difficult. It’s hard to pinpoint one person when you’ve got thousands of people in the audience.

“It really needs the people in the audience to point them out. If an idiot next to me was whistling, I’d turn round and have a go at him. You’re there to enjoy the game, not have some clown spoil it.

“It’s their work. If someone was laying bricks, you wouldn’t go down there and play with his cement to put him off”.

Bray claimed that he “absolutely detests” whistlers and “wishes they could be thrown out”.

The PDC seem to have similar thoughts too, as they reminded fans of their duty to respect the players in a statement following Thursday’s issues.

PDC statement in full

A look at what the PDC had to say after the crowd trouble in Glasgow...

“The PDC wishes to strongly reiterate that it does not condone any behaviour which can disrupt an event, such as whistling or booing when players are throwing.

“Every player goes on stage with the intention of performing to the best of their ability and providing an entertaining spectacle for all fans, whether in the venue or watching worldwide.

“As per the terms and conditions of entry to events, spectators who act inappropriately can be removed from the venue.

“The PDC works closely with Premier League venues, who have responsibility for crowd control, to take proactive and decisive action against those who behave inappropriately.

“The vast majority of fans who attend our sell-out events on a regular basis also condemn this behaviour.

“And we will continue to promote a positive atmosphere which gives all players the opportunity to play to the best of their ability in every match.”
