Love Island All Stars slam Elma Pazar for ‘smirking’ at co-star’s sadness during tense challenge

LOVE Island’s Elma Pazar has been slammed for “smirking” at Ekin-Su when she got upset during a challenge.

The All Stars contestants came to loggerheads yet again when it was revealed 58 per cent of the public said they didn’t believe Ekin and Curtis were a good match.

Fans then noticed Elma smirk after watching Ekin overthink the result and admit to being too upset to talk.

One viewer said: “Elma is such a b***h!! How is she smiling at Ekin-Su being upset like that???”

Someone else said: “Not Elma smiling over Ekin’s sadness??”

Another added: “Well Elma, I’d say that’s karma for smirking the minute ekin got a bad result.”

One fan argued: “Elma deserves to be humbled enough is enough.”

The once firm friends fell out when Ekin-Su gave Elma’s partner Sammy Root a peck on the lips during the heart rate challenge.

She had promised Elma not to kiss Sammy before doing the opposite.

Although Elma says she can “forgive” Elma, she finds the “forgetting” part harder.

Curtis pointed out that there was “spite” behind the question Elma and Sammy asked about him and Ekin in tonight’s game.

They wanted to know “do you think Curtis and Ekin-Su are the weakest couple?”

However, Elma had the smile wiped off her face when she was told the public think her age-gap with Sammy will have an impact on their relationship on the outside.

Countries that refuse to take back offenders face visa shut-out, warn ministers

COUNTRIES that refuse to take back their offenders face a visa shut-out, ministers have warned.

Those who fail to co-operate in Britain’s deportation blitz would face sanctions, immigration minister Angela Eagle declared yesterday.

This could include blocking visas, making them more expensive, or deliberately delaying their approval.

Ms Eagle put foreign governments on notice after being challenged to use the powers from Tory Shadow Home Secretary Chris Philp.

She said: “If co-operation with countries falls below the levels expected, we stand ready to use all levers available to us to encourage action — including the power to impose visa penalties.”

Labour have pledged to ramp up returns for migrants with no right to be here, either because they have committed a crime or arrived illegally.

They have hailed 19,000 deportations since coming to power from July.

But most of these were voluntarily returns, and are still dwarfed by the 25,000 small boat arrivals in that time.

Officials say four of the UK’s biggest-ever deportation flights have already taken off, carrying more than 850 people.

Yesterday Home Secretary Yvette Cooper said releasing footage of deportations is part of efforts to restore public confidence in the immigration system.

She added: “That’s why, as part of the Government’s Plan for Change, we have put significant additional resource into immigration enforcement and returns, so those who have no right to be here, particularly those who have committed crimes in our country, are removed as swiftly as possible.”

Taiwo Awoniyi injury latest: Nottingham Forest striker carried off on stretcher in FA Cup after collision with keeper

TAIWO AWONIYI was carried off on a stretcher after a serious collision with Exeter City keeper Joe Whitworth.

Whitworth came out to claim a high ball and accidentally hit Awoniyi – the striker appeared to accidentally headbutt the keeper, leaving him on the floor.

Awoniyi, who had scored Nottingham Forest’s second, received treatment from club doctors and paramedics.

He appeared to have been put into the recovery position but it is not clear if he lost consciousness – the striker was then carried off on a stretcher after around TEN minutes.

There was good news soon after, with reports that Awoniyi was able to walk back to the changing rooms from the medical centre.

He is said to have ‘looked a bit groggy’ but was walking unaided.

“My cousin lost his job at the clock factory; it’s such a shame, as he was putting in all the hours.

Another killer joke was: “I thought my dad was a smart guy, but I asked if he knew what an eclipse is, and he said, ‘no, son’.”

Six finalists competed in the boxing ring at Leicester’s De Montfort Hall on Monday.

Will, whose full name is William Bicknell-Found, said: “I didn’t expect to get into this competition, let alone win so I’m pretty baffled.

“It’s an absolutely crazy feeling to think back to Christmas when I was reading cracker jokes and thinking about how it would be fun to do this in front of an audience.

“I can’t really believe it.

“The boxing ring and massive crowd really ups the ante.

“It stressed me out.”

Wayne Rooney criticises ‘strange’ Man City transfer decision after Real Madrid defeat

Wayne Rooney criticised Man City’s ‘odd’ transfer decision after their defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League (Amazon Prime Sport)

Wayne Rooney has branded Manchester City’s decision to let Kyle Walker leave in January as ‘strange’ following their 3-2 defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League on.

Pep Guardiola’s side now have a mountain to climb in order to reach the Champions League knockout phase after they threw away the lead on two occasions against Madrid on Tuesday night.

Erling Haaland opened the scoring for City before Kylian Mbappe equalised for Madrid. Haaland netted from the penalty spot to restore City’s lead, however, Madrid were level through Brahim Diaz in the 86th minute. Jude Bellingham then scored Madrid’s winner in the second minute of injury time.

City must now overturn their 3-2 defeat on aggregate at the Bernabeu next Wednesday in order to reach the last 16, where they would play either Atletico Madrid or Bayer Leverkusen.

Walker, meanwhile, is expected to start in the first leg of AC Milan’s Champions League play-off tie against Feyenoord on Wednesday night after his loan move from City in the January transfer window.

Rooney, however, believes City should have blocked Walker’s exit and feels Guardiola was not in a position to allow the England international to leave.

‘I think you see the importance of Kyle Walker over the last seven or eight years for Manchester City,’ Rooney told Amazon Prime.

‘It’s so strange to see Kyle Walker go out on loan to AC Milan.

‘Akanji’s obviously not a right-back, Rico Lewis is a young player playing in different positions, at this point in the season where Manchester City are struggling, Kyle Walker is the captain of the football club, to allow him to go on loan, for me, is really odd.’

Asked if City should have kept Walker against his will, Rooney replied: ‘Yeah… the player’s under contract and as the captain… there comes a time when players leave the football club.

‘I think at this moment in time and Man City going through this blip they’re going through and Kyle Walker being the captain of the club and the importance of him over the last few years, I think an agreement to say, ‘let’s wait until the summer, help us out’, maybe the league is too far for them to reach now but they’ve still got the Champions League, help them get through the season.

‘I had it with Mourinho [at Manchester United] when I wasn’t playing with Jose Mourinho. I had the same conversation in January and he said to me, ‘stay until the end of the season, I need you to help us in the Europa League’.

‘It was hard for me to take but I respected him for that and we shook hands and I left at the end of the season. I think that would have been the more sensible move for Kyle.’

Meanwhile, former City defender, Gael Clichy, believes Walker’s exit is further proof of how ‘ruthless’ the club is regarding player exits.

‘City is City, my view on it is that on and off the pitch they’ve been a ruthless club,’ Clichy said.

‘Pep, if you don’t train well you don’t play, if you don’t perform well you don’t play, which is ruthless.

‘The club, in a way, since Pep arrived, did the same. They were able to tell Joe Hart, a legend of the club, to move on. Vincent Kompany, David Silva, Kun Aguero… and still bringing young players through.

‘What we saw with Kyle Walker a few months ago he was perhaps a few days away from signing for Bayern Munich. The club kept him, you can see now the position of letting this player, your captain, who brings you perhaps something no other defender in the team is giving you, of course you have moments where it’s right to sell the players, but right now tonight, and those few games we’ve seen altogether… why?’
