Man Utd to offload £375k a week flop Casemiro in shock transfer THIS MONTH as new club admit it’s ‘risky business’

MANCHESTER UNITED are reportedly set to offload Casemiro in a shock transfer to Flamengo, who admit it’s “risky business.”

Casemiro, 32, has fallen out of favour at United under Ruben Amorim and has featured for just 20 minutes in the last five matches.

He currently pockets a whopping £375,000-a-week to boot, one of the biggest salaries going.

And United were eager to offload Casemiro before the winter transfer window slammed shut last week.

However, it remains open in some countries outside Europe.

One of those is Casemiro’s native Brazil.

And reports in his homeland claim that Flamengo are set to complete a sensational loan swoop shortly.

Casemiro, who began his football career at rivals Sao Paulo, is likely to jump at the chance of an exit.

Antony, Marcus Rashford and Tyrell Malacia all completed loan moves away from United in the winter window.

And Flamengo are even said to be ready to pay part of his mammoth annual salary.

However, they reportedly understand there is a huge risk in paying out so much money due to Casemiro’s advanced years and recent decline in performances.

Journalist Jorge Nicola said: “I can assure you that Flamengo investigated the player’s situation in the last few days.

Casemiro's Manchester United 2024-25 season statistics.

“The English club agreed to loan him and help with part of his salary. Filipe Luis would love to count on Casemiro.

“Flamengo understands that, given all the figures, it is a very risky business.

“Even though United are willing to help with most of the salary, there would still be a very high amount to be paid.”

Who left Love Island All Stars last night?

AS Love Island: All Stars 2025 heats up, some of the most popular islanders are being sent home in shocking eliminations.

On Monday night fans were left stunned when another couple were brutally dumped from the villa.

Tina & Chuggs get the chop

On Monday, February 10, Ekin-Su and Curtis, Harriett and Ronnie, as well as Chuggs and Tina were all up for eviction.

Host Maya Jama gathered the islanders at the fire pit before announcing that Tina and Chuggs had been dumped from the villa after receiving the least amount of viewer votes.

The pair said their goodbyes to their fellow islanders before exiting the villa and joining Maya, 30, for a chat.

Series seven star Chuggs, 26, had only entered All Stars the week before as a bombshell, arriving alongside Samie Elishi.

Tina had previously been coupled up with Scott Thomas, but he refused to progress their coupling before quitting the show.

Reacting to the news of Tina and Chuggs getting the chop on social media, one fan wrote: “TBH, chuggs didn’t belong here. And Tina got played. So it’s long for them.”

A second posted: “This season has been so predictable, everyone knew Tina & chuggs were always going to be dumped.”

“Ekin su, please stop the drama you know you are not leaving,” said a third.

While a fourth commented: “Interesting the way Tina only friendzoned Chuggs as soon as they walked out of the villa lol.”

Scott’s shocking exit

Fans expected Scott to explore his romance with co-star Tina Stinnes after she was saved from a triple elimination.

However, Scott revealed to host Maya Jama that his relationship with Tina lacked “fireworks”.

Unable to lie about his feelings, Scott decided to bow out of the show on February 2.

A source told The Sun: “Since it first came to light Scott wasn’t feeling it with Tina on Vegas night, he’s struggled to feel free within the situation and push past his doubts.

“On tonight’s show viewers will see him continue to work through his concerns about their connection before the Islanders are then plunged into a recoupling.

“Scott was unable to get past the feeling Tina wasn’t right for him and his biggest priority was not wasting her precious time in the villa.

“He knows this is a big opportunity for her in love and life and would never want to ruin that.

“After taking some time out with the dedicated Love Island welfare team, Scott decided that the best thing he could do for himself was to remove himself from the situation.

“He’s done so much work over recent years on self-love and he didn’t want to force a connection for the sake of it.”

Another surprise exit

Scott wasn’t the only islander who got cold feet and decided to leave the competition.

Ron Hall also chose to leave the show, after struggling to form a relationship with any of his co-stars.

Although he was paired up with Danielle Sellers, he “grew tired” as the show went on.

A source told The Sun: “Ron was the centre of attention on his series, with multiple girls vying for his attention and with Lana always there for him to return to.

“It was a bit of a rude awakening for him this time round as he just couldn’t find a single spark.

“He realised he wasn’t likely to find that connection now and had grown tired of watching the front door for bombshells that might be for him.”

The source also said: “The Love Island villa is a tough place to be single, especially when matches are sparking all around you – there’s some very loved up couples in there now – and Ron decided it was time to check out.”

Shortly after Ron left the show, two former islanders returned to the villa.

Samie Elishi, who starred in the 2023 series of Love Island, joined the All Stars cast sending fans wild.

Talking about her return to the show, Samie said: “I want to return because, who gets to do this twice?

“You think it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity, so if you get offered to do it twice, you’ve got to do it again.

“We had such a good time last time, why not!

“My relationship didn’t work out so hopefully it’s second time’s a charm.”

She was joined by Oliver “Chuggs” Wallis, who appeared on the 2021 series of the show but was eliminated after just four days.

A nail-biting triple elimination

On January 28, 2025, three islanders were eliminated from the show at once.

Nas Majeed, Kaz Crossley and Montel McKenzie were all asked to leave in a shocking twist.

While enjoying a drink in the Vibe Club, Maya Jama appeared and asked the cast to form a line in front of her.

She then said: “Islanders, I’m glad you’ve been having a bit of fun, but things are obviously about to get serious.

“The public have been voting for their favourite girl and their favourite boy.”

The star TV presenter revealed that Luca and Elma were the public’s two favourite islanders.

Then, the shocking twist became clear as Maya revealed that the two girls and two boys with the lowest votes were at risk of elimination.

Luca and Elma were forced to choose which one of the four lowest scoring islanders to save.

Ultimately, they chose for Tina Stinnes to remain in the competition forcing Kaz, Nas and Montel to leave Love Island.

Speaking about her elimination, Kaz said: “It’s nice to not be dumped alone!

“Me and Montel are really getting on.

“It’s still early days, I think because we got on so well together people may think it was longer – but it’s exciting times!”

She added that she and Montel were eliminated together so they wouldn’t be broken up as a couple.

Montel said that it was a “lose-lose” situation, as either both he and Kaz would be eliminated or one would have to “lose” the other.

Nas, who was infamous for taking things slowly in the villa, said that he has no regrets.

He said: “I have no regrets about being a slow burner – I might even bring out a podcast called ‘Slow Burner’.

“I move with intent.

“I don’t tend to fall head over heels from the get-go.

“I like taking things slow.

“Maybe I shot myself in the foot a little bit but that’s how I am as a person.

“I can leave with my head held high.”

India Reynolds dumped

India Reynolds found herself the first All Star dumped from the show on January 19, 2025.

Having earlier clashed with partner Scott Thomas, she labelled him the most calculated in the villa during a game of suck and blow.

She said the reason for her accusation were self-explanatory, but Scott fired back, stating he’s been super clear.

He added that what India said gave him “the ick”.

Despite trying to clear the air, their “romance” was brought to an end by the arrival of bombshell Tina Stinnes, who immediately decided to couple up with Scott, sending India packing.

Liv Hawkins and Marcel Somerville also were eliminated from the show after being voted as the least compatible couple by the public.

I’m plagued with stomach problems and suffer outrageous loud burping – what can I do?

WINTER bugs are rife, and norovirus is proving really nasty at the moment.

Hospital admissions are at a high, hitting more than 900 daily – that’s 70 per cent up on this time last year.

Often called “the winter vomiting bug”, it’s highly contagious and can cause vomiting, diarrhoea, fever and abdominal pain.

Most people recover within a few days but it can be severe for those with weakened immune systems, the elderly and young children.

To protect yourself, always wash your hands after using the toilet and before eating. Antibacterial gels don’t work against norovirus, so please use soap and water.

If you do get sick, stay at home for at least 48 hours after your symptoms have ceased.

If symptoms worsen, seek medical advice promptly and ring NHS 111 if you are not sure.

Here’s a selection of what readers have asked me this week, and please send in your own health queries to health@thesun.co.uk . . . #

Plagued by stomach problems

Q: I AM a fit and healthy 70-year-old male, except for one issue – I’m plagued with stomach problems.

I underwent an X-ray and an endoscopy and, despite being given the all-clear, I find myself burping loudly for long periods of the day.

I’ve tried omeprazole and rabeprazole lately but to no avail.

Do you have any suggestions that might help me?

A: It sounds like your burping is problematic and excessive.

The fact that you have had investigations does help rule out some of the more worrying potential causes, such as cancer, or inflammation of the lining of the stomach.

Please check if you have been tested for a bacteria called helicobacter pylori, which can cause inflammation and increase the likelihood of belching.

You could perhaps be dealing with something called gastro-oesophageal reflux disease, where stomach acid comes up out of the stomach into the oesophagus.

This can cause you to swallow more air.

However, you’ve already tried some medication which would be expected to help ease the symptoms. So what next?

Lifestyle changes can help to decrease the amount you burp.

Slow down your eating and drinking to help you swallow less gas – have a look at mindful eating approaches.

Don’t consume carbonated drinks including beer, or drink with a straw – both add extra gas to the stomach.

Avoid smoking, chewing gum and sucking on hard sweets, and if you wear dentures, make sure they fit properly.

Moving your body regularly will also be beneficial.

Walking and yoga, for example, can help release gas from the digestive tract.

Over-the-counter remedies could be worth trying out, too. Look for products that contain simeticone.

This combines the small gas bubbles in your gut to form bigger bubbles, and so allows trapped air to pass through your body more easily.

GO PRIVATE FOR CYST?

Q: I HAVE a cyst-type boil on my eyebrow that is bothering me, but the NHS won’t remove it because it’s cosmetic.

A local clinic privately charged me £40 for a consultation that lasted five minutes and then quoted me £800 to remove it.

I have had next to nothing from the NHS in my 69 years and I’m disgusted that I have been quoted this extortionate price.

What do you suggest I might be able to do?

A: I understand your frustrations, and unfortunately several years ago, due to huge financial restraints on the NHS, certain types of procedures which had previously been available were stopped as a way of saving money.

This included all procedures deemed to be cosmetic, rather than for medical need, and such things as skin lesions.

However, in your case, I have a suspicion that both the skin lesion on your eyebrow, and the left side of your nose may be basal cell carcinomas (BCC).

This is the least dangerous type of skin cancer which doesn’t spread to other parts of the body.

They are still best removed by a dermatology team as they usually continue to slowly keep growing.

If they are BCCs, they very much qualify for NHS treatment.

Of course, I am basing this purely on the pictures you have sent and the fact that your eyebrow lump has only been there for the past nine months.

I have not examined you or taken a full medical history, but I also see other signs of sun damage on your skin, such as the small brown patches on your scalp.

It’s worth getting a further check from your GP and asking them specifically to consider if they could be BCCs.

You could even send your query as an e-consult if this is quicker. The images may be helpful as your GP may be able to forward them to the dermatology team for their advice.

If it turns out to be, as you suspect, a cyst, then I would suggest to shop around for removal. A plastic surgeon will likely charge more than a GP who does minor surgical operations, who in turn will likely charge more than a private nurse who is qualified to do minor skin operations.

Please let me know how you get on.

Neck pain is so bad I cannot work

Q: I’M a 58-year-old woman and have had terrible neck pain for six years after a couple of car crashes.

Over-the-counter pain relief only partially improves things, and over the last six months the pain has become so bad that I have had to give up my job.

It has extended down my arm and across my shoulders.

An X-ray diagnosed spondylitis, so I am waiting for steroid injections. But what else can I do?

A reader has been suffering terrible neck pain for years after a car crash[/caption]

A: I’m so sorry to hear that you have been suffering with what sounds like awful, debilitating pain.

The next step, steroid injections, can reduce swelling and inflammation in the area where the pain is coming from.

Some people experience significant improvement in symptoms and it could help you get your life back on track.

But not all people benefit and, if this is you, you will need to go back to the team that is caring for you to see what the next options are.

Spondylitis is another word for osteoarthritis of the spine.

It can develop with age but musculo-skeletal trauma, such as a car crash, can make it more likely.

Neck pain and/or stiffness are very common, and sometimes the bony changes can put pressure on the nerves, causing pain, numbness and tingling either in the neck itself or into either arm.

This type of nerve pain from compression is called cervical radiculopathy.

And if there is any weakness of the muscles of the hand or arm, especially if it is affecting your strength and your function, this tends to make a case higher priority.  So do inform your medical team if you develop this.

Finally, when all other measures have been tried, some people may be offered surgery to the affected spine.
