Aldi is selling a handy gadget that’s £150 cheaper than Karcher perfect for getting your garden ready for spring

ALDI is selling a handy gadget that is £150 cheaper than rival Karcher – and it is perfect for getting your garden ready for spring.

The bargain retailer is selling the super affordable FERREX High Pressure Washer for just £99.

The product is set to land in stores next Thursday on March 13, so customers only need to wait for a few days to get their hands on it.

Just like the branded and more expensive Karcher, the handy product blasts out water at a high speed, which helps remove any dirt from your patio.

And it comes with a powerful pressure hose with a quick release fastener, which is ideal for cleaning driveways, patios and vehicles.

The pressure washer would just cost customers £99 when it lands in stores this week.

And buying the gardening tool would save customers up to £150.

Karcher’s high pressure washer costs between £200 to £250, depending on the offers and promotional events.

Aldi shoppers head to the supermarket for great value on their weekly shop.

But there are some little-known ways that bargain hunters can save even more cash on their weekly shop at the chain.

Aldi is the cheapest supermarket in the UK, according to analysis of basket prices by consumer group Which?.

The discounter was found to be the cheapest in all 12 months of last year for a typical shopping list of 56 groceries.

Despite already offering top value for money, you can save more cash with a few steps.

The supermarket often offers discounts on food with an expiry date of one day or less.

Some of Aldi’s best value items are Specialbuy items that are much more affordable than a comparable item bought elsewhere.

This includes items which haven’t yet been marked down.

Some of Aldi’s best value items are Specialbuy items that are much more affordable than a comparable item bought elsewhere.

The most popular items sell out very quickly, so you need to know what is coming in.

Sign up to the supermarket’s mailing list where they often send out information on upcoming specialbuys.

Aldi’s prices are usually pretty good anyway, but when they are trying to clear stock they’ll offer even bigger reductions with special red tags.

Often Aldi sells off Specialbuys at reduced prices to make way for fresh stock, so you can score a great deal.

You can also get 20% back on your spending at Aldi through card and savings app Hyperjar.

That means for every £10 you spend you’ll get £2 back. On a shop of £100 that works out as £20.

How to save money on your food shop

Consumer reporter Sam Walker reveals how you can save hundreds of pounds a year:

Odd boxes – plenty of retailers offer slightly misshapen fruit and veg or surplus food at a discounted price.

Lidl sells five kilos of fruit and veg for just £1.50 through its Waste Not scheme while Aldi shoppers can get Too Good to Go bags which contain £10 worth of all kinds of products for £3.30.

Sainsbury’s also sells £2 “Taste Me, Don’t Waste Me” fruit and veg boxes to help shoppers reduced food waste and save cash.

Food waste apps – food waste apps work by helping shops, cafes, restaurants and other businesses shift stock that is due to go out of date and passing it on to members of the public.

Some of the most notable ones include Too Good to Go and Olio.

Too Good to Go’s app is free to sign up to and is used by millions of people across the UK, letting users buy food at a discount.

Olio works similarly, except users can collect both food and other household items for free from neighbours and businesses.

Yellow sticker bargains – yellow sticker bargains, sometimes orange and red in certain supermarkets, are a great way of getting food on the cheap.

But what time to head out to get the best deals varies depending on the retailer. You can see the best times for each supermarket here.

Super cheap bargains – sign up to bargain hunter Facebook groups like Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK where shoppers regularly post hauls they’ve found on the cheap, including food finds.

“Downshift” – you will almost always save money going for a supermarket’s own-brand economy lines rather than premium brands.

The move to lower-tier ranges, also known as “downshifting” and hailed by consumer expert Martin Lewis, could save you hundreds of pounds a year on your food shop.
