Apple TV Plus is just days away from adding a show that has been hailed as a ‘comedy masterpiece.’
On Wednesday, The Studio drops on the global streaming platform after earning universal acclaim from critics.
It has already achieved a near-perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes (97%), with one reviewer saying it was ‘one of the best comedy series I’ve ever seen.’
The 10-part show centres on Hollywood studio executive Matt (Seth Rogen) as he juggles corporate demands with creative ambitions to try and keep movies alive and relevant.
The Studio also stars the likes of Catherine O’Hara and Kathryn Hahn and features cameos from A-listers including Martin Scorsese, Charlize Theron and Olivia Wilde.
Writing for CineXpress, reviewer Fico Cangiano said: ‘A comedy masterpiece. One of the best comedy series I’ve ever seen. Impeccably written, acted and directed. Will win everything this year. Definitely a must-watch!’

Echoing Cangiano’s sentiment, Julian Lytle wrote for Riotus: ‘The Studio is one of the funniest shows I’ve seen in a long time; with its fantastic writing, performances, and filmmaking, Apple TV Plus has a real gem here.’
For Observer, Laura Babiak penned: ‘The Studio and its actors commit to the bit more than most, and the result is a consistently enjoyable, impeccably crafted and all around great new comedy.’
Empire Magazine’s Nick De Semlyen shared: ‘A fizzy, acidic send-up of movie-industry shenanigans, The Studio has a flat stretch or two, but is largely triumphantly funny, as Rogen chomps joyfully on the hand that feeds him.’
Nick Hilton wrote in The Independent: ‘Rogen and Evan Goldberg (and their team of writers) deliver a comedy that is frequently laugh-out-loud funny, and even if it’s short on tenderness or social critique, it has that big, bustling kinetic energy associated with the high points of knockabout cinema.’

The Studio is not the only comedy TV show viewers have been recently recommending.
They’ve been binge-watching both seasons of ‘engaging’ show Wolf Like Me which was recently added to Amazon Prime Video.
The series follows single father Gary (Josh Gad) who lives in Adelaide with his daughter Emma (Ariel Donoghue) as he strikes up a relationship with Mary (Isla Fisher).
Both Gary and Emma are still emotionally traumatised after the death of her mother Lisa seven years ago, so when Mary enters the pictures and is able to connect with Emma she is a welcome addition to the family.

However, Mary is hiding baggage of her own that she fears may hurt Gary and Emma: she is a werewolf.
On Google, Wolf Like Me fans have been urging everyone to watch the hidden gem series which has flown under the radar since it first aired on Stan and Peacock in 2022.
Ben Hutchison raved: ‘The cast are all great including the supporting roles. The script is awesome, it flows well the characters are believable and most importantly it’s engaging.’
Nivedita Kapur commented: ‘I’m in complete love with every aspect of this series. The pace with which story goes is remarkable and the series serves you with just the right amount of thrill for every scene.’
The Studio is available to stream on Apple TV Plus from Wednesday.
