Billy Joel has announced that he will be rescheduling his tour due to a ‘medical condition’ that requires a four-month recovery period.

‘Billy Joel’s upcoming concert dates will be rescheduled due to a medical condition,’ an announcement from Joel’s team began on March 11.

‘The current tour will be postponed for four months to allow him to recover from recent surgery and to undergo physical therapy under the supervision of his doctors.

‘Joel is expected to make a full recovery. The tour will resume at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh on July 5, 2025.’

The singer also commented on this announcement, expressing his frustration and thanks to his fans

‘While I regret postponing any shows, my health must come first.

‘I look forward to getting back on stage and sharing the joy of live music with our amazing fans. Thank you for your understanding.’

Eight dates will be rescheduled, with events now set to begin in November 2025 and take place well into the summer of 2026.

The singer had a serious fall in February at the Mohegan Sun resort in Connecticut.

The artist was singing It’s Still Rock and Roll To Me, ” and began twirling his microphone stand before throwing it into the crowd.

In videos of the concert, he excitedly launched the stand into the audience but then quickly lost his balance.

He then toppled onto the floor as fans gasped but he was able to spring back up rather quickly for one final song.
