B&M shoppers go wild for rare Cadbury Dairy Milk bar back on shelves

EAGLED-EYED shoppers have spotted a rare Cadbury chocolate bar back on B&M shelves.

The bargain retailer is no stranger to importing Aussie treats, with past hits like Dairy Milk Raspberry bars, which flew off shelves last June.

Cadbury is selling a new Aussie-themed chocolate bar

The Dairy Milk Cadbury Lamington 50g bar, priced at £1, is inspired by the classic Aussie dessert.

It combines smooth chocolate with raspberry jam-flavoured pieces, vanilla cake bits and a hint of coconut.

Originally exclusive to Australia, this sought-after treat, has seemingly made its way to the UK, delighting chocolate enthusiasts.

One excited shopper took to Facebook and took a snap of the rare chocolate back on shelves at B&M.

B&M is known for importing unique treats from around the world.

Other Australian favourites spotted include the Cherry Ripe Berry Truffle bar, featuring cherries, coconut, and blackcurrant flavour in dark chocolate, and the Twirl Caramilk, boasting a blonde chocolate centre coated in Dairy Milk chocolate.

Availability may vary by location, so it’s advisable to check your local B&M store.

Remember, you can find your nearest B&M branch by using the retailer’s store finder tool on its website.

The treats were last seen in stores in June, when one shopper found them in their local branch and shared a snap on the NewfoodsUK Facebook page.

Shoppers were quick to react, with plenty eager to get their hands on the chocolate bar.

One said: “Got to have it!” while another added: “Looks yummy.”

Meanwhile, a third simply wrote: “Delicious,” and a fourth chimed in: “I’ll have to go and get some to try!”

Of course, whenever buying anything like this, make sure you shop around to see where to get the best deal.

Websites like Trolley and Price Spy let you compare prices on thousands of products to see which retailer is selling them cheapest.

You can use the Google Shopping/Product tab to quickly scan the internet too.

We had a quick look online to see if any other retailers are selling the Cadbury Lamington bar and if they have it cheaper.

However, as the bar is imported from Australia, we couldn’t find any major retailers which sell it.

Usually these chocolate bars are incredibly expensive to import, and can be found at Candy Mail, although the retailer is not currently selling the product

To put things into perspective, a 173g Dairy Milk Marble bar—another Aussie import—is currently listed online for £5.99.

And that’s before you even factor in shipping costs.

How to save money on chocolate

We all love a bit of chocolate from now and then, but you don’t have to break the bank buying your favourite bar.

Consumer reporter Sam Walker reveals how to cut costs…

Go own brand – if you’re not too fussed about flavour and just want to supplant your chocolate cravings, you’ll save by going for the supermarket’s own brand bars.

Shop around – if you’ve spotted your favourite variety at the supermarket, make sure you check if it’s cheaper elsewhere.

Websites like Trolley.co.uk let you compare prices on products across all the major chains to see if you’re getting the best deal.

Look out for yellow stickers – supermarket staff put yellow, and sometimes orange and red, stickers on to products to show they’ve been reduced.

They usually do this if the product is coming to the end of its best-before date or the packaging is slightly damaged.

Buy bigger bars – most of the time, but not always, chocolate is cheaper per 100g the larger the bar.

So if you’ve got the appetite, and you were going to buy a hefty amount of chocolate anyway, you might as well go bigger.

With these rare finds back in stock, now’s the perfect time to indulge your sweet tooth with a taste of Australia.

Other rare chocolates have also been spotted recently at the budget retailer.

Shoppers were caught going bananas over New Zealand’s Perky Nanas.

The sweet treat is now being sold at the discount store for just £1.

The soft banana-flavoured 45g chew bar comes covered with Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate.
