Bushra Ansari Criticizes Ramadan Transmissions

Pakistani actress Bushra Ansari has recently expressed her concerns about the impact of Ramadan transmissions on television.

In a recent vlog on her YouTube channel, the veteran actress hosted an Iftar gathering and openly shared her thoughts with her followers.

She believes that these shows are distracting people from the true essence of worship and fasting during Ramadan.

Ansari noted that instead of focusing on the spiritual aspects of the holy month, people are becoming more engaged in watching these transmissions, which can make fasting feel more like a trend rather than a spiritual practice.

“There were transmissions before, but people didn’t watch them as much. That was a good time, but nowadays people watch with great enthusiasm. I also go and sit in Ramadan transmissions of different channels, people enjoy it, and it must make their fast easier,” she said.

She further added, “I feel that when we didn’t watch these transmissions, we engaged more in worship. We would recite the Quran and read tasbih whenever we had free time.”

“Back then, fasting was fasting, not just hunger. Now, without worship, without reciting the Quran or doing tasbih, just watching Ramadan transmissions and fasting is no longer a fast; it’s just hunger,” Bushra Ansari mentioned.

Her comments have sparked a debate on social media, with many discussing whether Ramadan transmissions bring people closer to their faith or simply serve as entertainment.
